Overall the pie had a lack of sauce. Mainly cheese 1.5 /5 not a NJ pizza at all. A Northern nerve would know it's all about the sauce.

Best pizza in the state…as close to NJ as you can get in Florida, with awesome atmosphere and the best service around. Gabe and the crew at Solorzanos Gulf Gate are great!

By far the best pizza we have ever eatten. We ordered three pies, pepperoni, sausage and a margarita pizza, and each one of them were cooked to perfection. My wife got a cannoli and not only was it delicious but it was loaded with chocolate drizzle and chocolate chips. Perfection!! There are very few places you can go and get good food but even better customer service. This place you get both. Gabe was amazing, super friendly, very caring and amazing at making pizza. If you are not eating here, your missing out... Run there now!!

Absolutely the best pizza we have ever eaten. Every time we go we order three pies, pepperoni, sausage and margarita pizza, and each time they have been cooked the same, to perfection. The dough is light and the crust and toppings and sauce are just delicious. I get a cannoli each time, and it is one of the best cannolis I have had, so many chocolate chips and drizzled with chocolate. I am from NY and down here good cannolis annd pizza are hard to find, so glad I do not have to search anymore! The staff, Gabe, he is amazing, so friendly and he remembers his customers. Good food, good staff, good service, I mean what more could you ask for?? We drive about 45 minutes just to eat here and it is so worth it!

I always liked Solorzano pizza in Gulf Gate but recently I ordered a gluten free sausage pizza that had a couple of paper thin sausage pieces which were in 3 of the 8 slices. I called to let them know and their answer was that maybe some of the sausage were underneath. While most of us are not chefs or professional cooks (I am) we know the sausage is put in too. And no surprise there was no sauce underneath.
While I usually think true pizza is very good why ruin your reputation by skimping and then and then defending it. Charge a bit more if need be, but deliver what someone orders.

My favorite pizza place is this, 1000000% killer ....look forward to it every year when we are down, I even have a vintage menu that the owner recognized... Gabe makes supreme garlic bread, G-Bread!!! See you my brothers next year!!!

Amazing pizza. We had pepperoni and jalepenos on ours and it was delicious—pepperoni were similar to the little cup pepperonis “old world” style (which we love) and jalepenos were pickled, 10/10. Cooked perfectly. Quality ingredients. The staff was also very friendly and gave us some local tips to check out while we’re here. Definitely recommend for pizza if you’re in the Sarasota area!

Very calming atmosphere when I enter, it’s very quiet and not packed (I don’t go during night time party hours, i go during day time work hours) pizza reasonably priced but it’s good! And staff are very good and respectful to me everytime I’ve gone in there.
