Sophie’s Sarasota

Sophie's at Saks Fifth Avenue in Sarasota offers a special and intimate dining experience! Mike does a great job overseeing every aspect of their restaurant operations and Dino helped us have a wonderful dining experience. He helped us with our every request. The Avenue Burger is excellent and not to be underestimated. If you are looking for a special and memorable dining experience at UTC this is the place to go. We love it and visit Sophie's often!

Met a friend from high school at Sophie's for lunch. We had not seen each other for several years. Our server was so great, and checked on us regularly but not overly bothersome. We were essentially left undisturbed for 2+ hours so we could catch up on events over the past few years. The lunch entrees were delicious, and the dessert was truly decadent! Sophie's is an exceptional restaurant, and we'll be back soon.

Always a good choice for lunch. One slip up - left the cheese off my steak sandwich but everything else was fine!

Had lunch with my old college roommate. The service was excellent, and the food was good with lots of healthy choices. THe waitress was very responsive and we were encouraged to sit and talk as long as we wanted. It was perfect. I'm going to go back and take my husband. It's a great find.

We've been to Sophie's several times. The food and service are always excellent! Today, Maddie was our server and she was very attentive with a wonderful personality - she's an excellent asset to Sophie's for sure! We had the steak sandwich and seared tuna......delicious! The price is on the high side, but the food quality and service is next level! We will be back!

The best kept secret in the mall. Food and service always above average. Definitely make sure you know the prices of things like add ons before you order. Some of the protein salad additions were high from what I remember (did not order due to price.) Still my go-to place when shopping.

Lovely meal, chef always creates such wonderful dishes - loved the soup this week. Mark and Mike and Dino are great - personable and fun as well as top notch with great service. Sophie's is our "go-to" when we need a special lunch - guaranteed! Don't miss this one!

Completely overcharged. Crazy insane price for a simple sandwich and fries. $39! Cute little place for a first date. My date had a nice meal with a salad for $20. I got the special. It was a small steak sandwich on two slices of bread with french fries. When the bill came, the “special” Cost me $39!!! A small tasty sandwich but my jaw dropped at the price. Completely Unsubstantiated Price! It was a first date and she even commented that was outrageous. The “Special” is getting ripped off! I will not return Even though it was a nice place. $80 with tip and we drank water!

Went here with my family on our visit to Sarasota. Food was great but Dino was even better. We will definitely be coming back to see Dino on our next trip!

Excellent food and service. Beautiful place to lunch with ladies. I went with my husband who was very well pleased with his salmon tabouleh salad and bread pudding. The soup of the day was French onion soup which was delicious. Curried chicken on toast was flavorful with just the right side salad. Will go back. For us it is the best place to lunch in the mall. It was so pleasant.

We were here on opening day and just came again and nothing changed (in a good way). Mark the bartender was great and informative. The atmosphere was elevated. A great place for lunch (they do lunch only).

Overall, great food. A little disappointed the server told us about the “birthday dessert” options so we picked one not knowing we had to pay for the “birthday dessert”. A little annoyed because we're from the hospitality industry and him suggesting to us “birthday dessert today” made it sound like it was on the house. Most places do a free birthday dessert so we felt like that was very misleading. Also ordered a cappuccino in the beginning and never got it.

This is the most consistently good restaurant in Sarasota. I've been here in Sarasota two years and have lunch at Sophie's at least once a month. Servers are fantastic. Food is delicious, always fresh, and thoughtfully prepared and presented. If something is not right, they fix it immediately with a smile. Want a delightful lunch in a calm and welcoming atmosphere? This is the place. Oh - and a very reasonable and tasty wine list too!

Restaurant week menu for lunch was delicious and creative,all but dessert which was a dry shortcake- ish square of cake with cut up strawberries on top. It was like the kitchen said, ok we put all our effort into the meal, dessert will just be mediocre. Service was more than outstanding, our waiter did everything well including bringing us a soup sample from the kitchen. Lovely experience!

Fabulous place for lunch, I always make a reservation since it's quite small. The food is always excellent, besides the ample menu choices there are usually some specials. Yesterday I had the crab cake special which came with a side of truffle fries. Service is wonderful, servers are attentive without ever being overbearing.
