Food is good but it took 40 minutes from the time we ordered to get our burgers

Charming spot. Food is delicious, and service is gracious. I also loved the 80s music in the background.
I had the pork chop and two eggs sunny-side up for a late breakfast / early lunch. The pork chop was cooked perfectly, thick and juicy. I subbed out the potato pancake / fruit option for a side salad with their homemade raspberry dressing. All so good!

Went for Valentines night- was told $55 p/p includes a glass of prosccesco when we made the reservation - which we were told once we arrived that it didn't. The waitress rolled her eyes when I asked for butter for the bread and took forever to get 2nd glassof wine. My husband only had the one one and charged him for 2! The beef wellington had soggy crust and no gravy. The salad & spinach was excellent- but everything including service was sub-par. I will return for their breakfast or lunch- but definitely never again on holiday like Valentines Day !!!

A group of 8 went for dinner before a show at the Asolo. We told them we were on a schedule and we almost missed our show. The food came out very slow and when it came time for the checks they acted like they had never done this before. We asked for our checks and they never appeared. We finally went to try to pay at the cash register and this also proved impossible. One person had to pay the whole tab although there was no mention that they could not process separate checks or groups of 2. While most of the food was good, I'll never go back.

The service was not the best.
The waitress seems like she just started working as a waitress, not professional. It seems like us being there was more work for her (negative way) and that she was bothered by our presence.
We found a table fast but it took some time for us to get menus. We ordered 3 coffees (small cups) one chocolate milk and a glass of water. The drinks took a longer time to get.
I could see that there were people that had been wanting sometime for their orders to be taken and based on the interactions (and lack of). I it seems that this is one of those places that it would take hours to get our food.
With hungry people this is a no-go. We decided to leave a find a place with better service. We decided to pay for the drinks (we shouldn't have) and again we had ordered, 3 small coffees, a chocolate milk and a glass of (basically) tap water I was charged $16.00.
I just seemed like too much. It's not about the money but it felt like a jab. Mind you I spent $120.00 + tip the next place we went no problem.
This seems like a locals place, if you're not from the area and you're not used to the flow of the place I wouldn't recommend. The food in the menu seems good. The waitress wasn't mean, she seemed overwhelmed and frustrated.
But when you go out to eat it's an experience, that's what you pay for.
I can cook a breakfast in my house or go to cheap places to eat if it's just about eating. Specially when you're from out of town.

Shockingly good food because it's old school family made with a first class chef. I had the duck (yum) and Jenni had the Mangala burger (wow). This place is legit. Like most places in Sarasota they are severely understaffed, but the food is worth it. The staff they have are excellent.

One of the better breakfast experiences we've had in a long time. We were pleasantly surprised by everything, from the beautiful, kind waitress that helped us to the coffee, fresh orange juice, tasty smells in the air and the ambiance.
We got the lox with bagel and were blown away, the capers, the goat cheese, the smoked salmon, YUM. Get it.
Get the French toast, enough said.
We will be back very soon!!

We unexpectedly ended up at Sunnyside today.
We were looking for a place to take our dog.
This was no problem, so we sat down on the Patio, the waitress Teri was taking care of us, she was great.
My wife had a grilled stuffed Croissant with ham and Brie cheese, that was awesome, I had a cup of Hungarian goulash soup and one of the daily specials, an asparagus risotto with grilled chicken.
Our food was probably the best lunch that we had in a long time, it was served hot and was tasteful.
The chef prepared everything from scratch what took a little longer but definitely worthwhile.
We will go back to Sunnyside and we can highly recommend it.
Thank you Teri for the great service, also from Lilly!
