The Boatyard Waterfront Bar and Grill

Very overpriced for mediocre cold food! The service and atmosphere were good! Rated the service a 3 because of how one of the other servers acted in front of guests. Our server kept the refills flowing. My husband and son did really like the crab legs. The stuffed flounder and frickles were just ok. Steak was decent but broccoli wasn’t cooked all the way and parsley potatoes were cold and did not look fresh. $170 for 3 people! Would go back for drinks and entertainment but not to eat.

Not a fair rating but you have to put something. Would have been nice to know it is closed for renovation. We were not the only ones who pulled up only to see that sign on the door. Didn’t see it on reviews or more importantly, on their website.

This was our third visit to Boatyard over the last ten years. It’s our go to for crab cakes when we’re visiting Annapolis.
Our server, Kelsey was a delight and did an amazing job taking care of us. We look forward to our next trip.

We drove 30 minutes out of our way to come here only to walk to the front entrance and observe a sign sitting closed for renovations. We went to their website before driving and there was no mention of them being closed. Very disappointing.

Since I was gone from Florida for 7 years, I returned for a visit and was looking forward to dining in at The Boatyard Waterfront Bar and Grill in Sarasota for a meal. To sum it all up, I was extremely disappointed as the restaurant bathroom was very dirty, tables were sticky, the food that was ordered was blackened Mahi on a kaiser bun without the bacon but bacon was put on the sandwich anyway, spicy rice, and a Sangria. The fish was not tasty, the rice was very dry and the Sangria was flat and tasteless. I very disappointed and will not be dining there again. It's a shame as it is a primary water front location. The waitress, Kelly, was very pleasant.
