Service seemed pretty disjointed. Six of us celebrating a birthday. First 4 meals arrived then 4 minutes later a fifth meal and then 3 more minutes for the sixth.
First time at Capital Grille and had an excellent lunch. Service was perfect, food was delicious. Will definitely return!
Didn't the Stoli Doli taste more like pineapple and have, at least, a pineapple garnish? 1 of the filets, excellent 1 filet overcooked and sent back for a better one Sliced filet had some gristle, no "fig essence" taste to speak of, and it needed salt. Very good service, as always. Expensive, but nice for a celebration with the nice dessert!
We have never had a bad meal at the Capital Grille. We do not eat steaks anywhere except here or a highly rated steak house. This restaurant chain is run more like high end standalone restaurants!
Very bad experience. Special anniversary. Requested and got confirmed for a certain area. When we arrived they gave our table away. The waiter was missing most of the time. Didn't get a drink or water for 45 minutes. My entree was 100 per cent under cook. Ended up eating salad.
We went for Wagyu and Wine event. Burgers were delicious and our server, Mick was fantastic.
We went to Capital Grille to celebrate a birthday, and were not surprised that everything was done with excellence. We started with the crab and lobster cake, big, hearty and deliicious with awonderful sauce accompaniment. Two steak dishes and Scallops with risotto were terrific, as were the truffle fires, which are too good to resist. Service was top notch. Like everywhere else, prices were pretty darn high.
I've been to this location quite a few times, but yesterday was our best experience to date. We celebrated my husband's birthday with family. Our server, Sean, was top notch. He recommended a chef's special Parmesan crusted porterhouse with balsamic glaze, which was fantastic. All the other entrees and sides were delicious, too. At one point, two guests got up to use the restroom and Sean came over and folded their napkins. I thought that was a classy move. Not many servers do that anymore. It's little things like that that make you talk about your experience for weeks/months to come whenever someone asks for a recommendation for a great evening out. Very well done!
From start to finish, our experience at The Capital Grille is always exceptional. The moment we walk in we are greeted with warm hospitality and an elegant atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. The service is impeccable — attentive without being intrusive — and our server had a genuine passion for the menu, offering excellent wine and entrée recommendations. The food is always cooked to absolute perfection: tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. And the signature pumpernickel bread is always fresh and delicious. Every detail, from the ambiance to the professionalism of the staff, made it feel like a special occasion. The Capital Grille truly delivers a first-class dining experience — one that exceeds expectations every time. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an unforgettable meal, whether it's a business dinner, celebration, or just a night out done right.
We enjoyed the Wagyu and wine event being offered through 11/16/2025. The burger was amazing and the David Phinney wines paired well with the burger. This special is a great value at $35. A regular burger at Capital Grille is $25. To get a Wagyu burger and a premium glass of wine for $35 is a bargain. I especially enjoyed the Palermo Cabernet.

No one refilled water or cleared table unless they were asked. Help disappeared. Food was over salty.
My, experience at the restaurant was great it was a small birthday party for my wife the Staff was friendly and the food was excellence
I was very disappointed in my experience at Capital Grille tonight. It has for many years been a favorite of mine and my family for special occasions, family dinners, etc. For work I often bring staff and colleagues to Capital Grille because the food is consistent, service is great, and it's usually a great overall experience. Tonight I brought my mother to honor my father on the anniversary of his death just a year ago... Our meal and the service was fantastic. Unfortunately, at a table adjacent to us two guests were obnoxiously loud and several staff (waiters, manager, etc) were standing by them at the table conversing loudly nearly our entire meal. It was so loud it was difficult to talk, it was distracting, and frankly it ruined the evening altogether. I think the thing I found the most upsetting and off putting was the manager came over and asked how our meal was... and I shared with her very candidly how whatever was going on with the other table affected our experience and her response left me furious. When I mentioned what we had experienced she said “Oh, they are very discriminating guests who frequently visit and eat at Capital Grilles all over”. I even explained why we were at the restaurant (as a family honoring my dad) and she said something to the effect that we will have to make a note to sit them in another area. No attempt to show any real compassion or care for our experience. I've got news for you.... I spend THOUSANDS at your restaurant all over the country, and have frequently visited the Sarasota location and you treated us as though the two incredibly self important guests took president over our satisfaction. Though I wouldn't have accepted it, no concession was offered to do anything to account for our experience. I will say that our waitress was fantastic and the food was delicious as usual, unfortunately the entire experience with the other guests and the lack of actual give a damn from the manager left me irritated and speechless.
I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday. Our waitress was wonderful and very attentive.
We had a great dinner. Started with the seafood tower it was fabulous, then had the bone in filet with scalloped potatoes and creamed spinach. It was great.
