We celebrated my wife's 70th last night. When we arrived the tablecloth was glowing with little bright multicolored stars and circles. Sean, our sever, was amazing, genuinely friendly, genuinely representing the best menu choices, just so tuned into what we might enjoy. The French onion soup was excellent and in some mystical way the bread has the occasional crunch even though it was submerged in the broth. The South African lobster tails were sweet and tender, and frankly better than the best possible New England lobster. The sliced filet with onion, mushrooms and "fig essence" was perfect. Dessert was on the house for the birthday girl and it too was excellent.

An elegant and exceptional dining experience from start to finish! We began with hand crafted Mojitos, and fresh, tender Calamari made in house. Followed by warm French rolls, delicious lobster bisque, and a Wedge salad that could have served as a meal in itself. We enjoyed the most tender and flavorful ribeye I have ever tasted in my life with creamy, buttery mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, and ended with a coconut pie that blew my mind! Of course more than half of the meal came home in boxes as the portions are huge. Amador provided flawless, top notch service, has over 30 years of fine dining experience, and is often personally requested, so I strongly encourage you to make a reservation with him. Capital Grille at UTC is the perfect atmosphere for any celebratory occasion or just an exceptional dining experience out!

We sat outside since it was so pleasant out. There were four of us and it was peaceful there. The server was excellent. The lobster bisque soup was wonderful. Loads of lobster and with the added sherry it was perfect. The Seared Salmon with Avocado, Mango, and Tomato Salad with Champagne Vinaigrette was a great combination of flavors. The Miniature Tenderloin Sandwiches were cooked to perfection with Mushrooms and Herb Cheese and were served with Parmesan Truffle Fries. The Sliced Tenderloin Steak Frites with Chimichurri was excellent and Rosemary Fries were crispy and soft on the inside. The service was fantastic.

Had another fabulous dinner on the bar again. Steaks were cooked perfectly, fish was cooked just right. Salads were fresh and tasty. Our server, Jess, was a delight!Capital Grille in Sarasota never disappoints!

Overall the food was not what we had in the past at capital grill My old fashioned with Woolford reserve not good like before Salad not as fresh Also the server took away the plates and bed without asking and I said i wasn't done so he just brought me a fork without a plate I guess I was suppose to eat the spinach from the serving bowl I would not expect this type of service from capital grill Disappointed and it was my birthday dinner Thanks

Can't say enough about this restaurant, we have been here before, been a bit. Made a reservation for a bday, have to say ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from start to finish. Waiting for our table getting drinks at the bar until we were sat, best guest relations, we are a Hodge podge of peeps staff attentive which always makes for great service. Sean our waiter one of the best we've had here in town. I can't recommend this restaurant and staff more than I have. Great experience all the way around. Thank you for great food and service during season.

We always enjoy the leisurely, fine dining, consistently excellent food and wait staff. Tonight we had Joe, who was attentive, knowledgeable and helped provide a very relaxing, intimate dinner for us. I highly recommend this restaurant and waiter! Extensive wine list!!!

I really wish the dress code was enforced. Looking a people in tee shirts is not my idea of appropriate dinner itiner. If i adhere to the dress code why cant the restaurant make others adhere to it

As always, service was excellent. Lobster soup with a bit of sherry was divine. Both the rib eye and filet were perfectly prepared and delicious. Surprise birthday cake was added bonus

The best part about this meal was the gentlemen who served bread and water. Fine fellow with a smile and a very nice attitude. The rest of the team / food - not so much for a rather slow day. The other disappointing fact which we addressed in the prior visit of the same attendees was the ability to have a drink and smoke a cigar on your porch if no one was present. We were told no way when you told us prior NP (as we did prior-but not allowed yesterday) always respectful of others if they were eating. Yesterday the porch was clear and we got the boot. NO way Jose. Well there is plenty of competition present and in the future for which we will engage.
