the atmosphere is great but the food portion is very small and not very good. my mom ordered a dinner salad with ahi tuna and it was so small and had lettuce, sprinkled cheese and 5 small pieces of tuna. I want to love this place. we have been there 3 times now but there is much better food for much better prices elsewhere.

As always, the ambiance, food and service were delightful. This restaurant is an oasis of comfort, grace and uniquely prepared flavors and components. Scratch cooking always takes longer than par cooked bulk cooking found elsewhere, plan on sitting back, savoring your companions, the atmosphere, and cocktails-you can always hear yourself think and have great conversation. A unique experience.

We were a party of 8, and consensus was a solid 4 for the food, and 5 stars for service (our waiter was Mark). My only complaint is they reserve all the close parking for valet; not much of a complaint, but why tho...?This was our 2nd visit and we will be back.

Loved our experience except for the bill. Substituted a wine by the glass price for a wine that we ordered and they didn't have. So the bill was $171. vs $110. Was NOT informed until the bill came. This is unacceptable. The place is already very expensive so to have an additional $61. plus tax and service fee is bad.

It’s very nice, but leaves a lot to be desired. The staff are not as great as at the Ritz. There was a host, Sir something that was just too much to handle. I haven’t seen him the last few times I came, but the staff could definitely work in how to make you feel more welcome. So generic and fake.

Another great ev at the Château. Fantastic restaurant for celebrations and spoiling yourselves. Food is delicious and service is impeccable. Had Aaron as my waiter and he is always courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. Highly recommend. Just behind Flemings steakhouse, it is a beautiful restaurant and I plan on visiting regularly.

Amazing experience. The food, the people, the atmosphere. Probably one of my favorite dining experiences, definitely the best one in many years. Highly recommend.

I was a frequent customer at the Anna Maria Island location and wanted to try the "new" Sarasota location. Walked in last night and Mark recognized me and said hello. It was nice that he remembered me from AMI location. We were seated promptly for our 6pm reservation. Our waiter was not very attentive to detail and was very slow. I had to ask other waiters for things because he did not come by our table very often. We had dishes piling up from our 1st two courses because no bussed the table. They missed some protocol things that a higher end restaurant should provide: he did not let me taste the wine before decanting it, we ordered caviar and he did not bring out an oyster spoon to serve the caviar and didn't bring the crostini until we asked. For an appetizer with a $195 price, that is just not acceptable. I ordered another cocktail to enjoy with the caviar, the caviar arrived and my drink came about 15 minutes later. The lobster bisque tasted like lobster but there was no lobster chucks, it was runny, and luke warm. The blue cheese potato side was also luke warm. They also had the wrong toppings on the wrong steak and we just swapped them at the table. The strawberry shortcake was dry. The coffee was also luke warm.Dinner took 3 hours and was incredibly slow.On the way out I mentioned this to Mark and his attitude was dismissive. That is not what i would expect for such a "high end" restaurant and for a repeat customer that generates very large tickets.I won't be going back....they lost a valuable repeat customer.

We were a party of four and decided to dine for Valentine's Day dinner. Our reservation was for 6:00 pm. Upon arrival we were greeted by a long line of customers waiting to be seated. This took about a half an hour. Our waiter did not come the table for 30 minutes. Our orders were taken after sitting for one hour. We ordered a bottle of wine and the glasses were so dirty we could not drink the wine. The waiter offered to bring clean glasses and poured us wine from the bar, after wasting half of the bottle of wine we ordered due to the dirty glasses. We did not get served and complete our meal until 10:30 pm. $700.00 of a disappointing evening and horrible service. Definitely not a place to go for a romantic evening. Thumbs down.

The Chateau is a great restaurant with delicious food, 5 star service, and a classy environment. We booked our reservation for 7:45 on Valentine's Day and only had to wait 10-15 minutes to be seated. Aron was our server and although the restaurant was packed full, he never left us waiting long. The V-Day menu had many options to choose from and the dishes we chose were superb. Aron even brought us a complimentary appetizer and carrot cake. Overall, The Chateau is a very fine establishment and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a 5 star meal.

Had Valentines dinner there. The filet was rather bland. For the price I just don't think the value was there. The service and ambiance was pretty good. Glad we checked it out but there are many other restaurants at that price point I would got to first.

The hostess staff were inefficient and did not seat our party for 30 minutes. Our waiter was very stressed with too many tables to serve and could not take our order for 45 minutes. We ordered a bottle of wine and the waiter poured the wine in dirty glasses. He was apologetic. There were 4 people to serve with what left of the wine. He opted to serve 2 of us wine from the bar. Unfortunately, we did not get to enjoy the wine we ordered, but we were billed for the wine. It was a very disappointing experience for Valentine's Day. I will never go back.

I'm not sure what happened to this place. This was my 4th time here and this time around it was dead. Maybe 4 other tables had people on a Thursday night. Despite that, it took a long time to get served. Wasn't asked about ordering drinks for about 30 minutes in. I asked for my steak medium and it came seared. Sent it back which I rarely do and it came back a few minutes later as rare as I sent it but with more sauce on it. They also added another scalloped potato that had probably been pulled from the freezer because it was cold. My kid also wouldn't eat his chicken finger because he said they tasted weird. Something needs to change or The Chateau won't survive. Too expensive for what we experienced.

The Chateau is a beautifully designed, upscale restaurant. We celebrated my wife's birthday and found our table decorated with a large Happy Birthday sign and other festive goods. The selection of first class adult beverages is formidable. The menu included daily specials one of which was Branzino over risotto and it was perfect. The steak was a New York strip cooked to specifications and delicious. The vendion is not to be missed. The multilayer carrot cake fed 4 leftover for home. The Chateau treated us to a champagne toast for the birthday girl.
