Tropical Smoothie Cafe

I never write reviews but the service here was the best I have ever experienced. On Friday, I stopped in for a wrap and sat at one of the tables inside. I was studying for an exam and the workers were the sweetest and made my day. One drew me a picture for good luck (it worked!) and the manager or owner was very kind and welcoming as well. 10/10 recommend.

There are handwritten signs posted with poor penmanship which come off rude and tasteless. On this particular visit the person in charge was working behind the bar in casual attire, visibly angry and speaking to staff with a raised voice. I realize blenders are loud but said person was neglecting to use the silencing lids on any of the blenders. The staff members were clearly stressed out and making mistakes as any young person would while being scolded. My smoothie was made incorrectly so I asked for a remake. I attempted to address one of the staff members who clearly saw I was trying to communicate but she continued with her work, understandably to avoid more yelling. My smoothie was remade accurately and it was delicious but it felt like I stood there watching the debacle for 15 minutes. I recommend a complete overhaul of attitude and valuing people as precious and worthy of kindness and gentleness. It would pay dividends and would have kept my visits frequent.

I am here just about everyday. Under new ownership and the new owner has stepped it up. First, I have to give a shout out to my Girls, they take care of me everyday and do it with a smile every time. The new owner has made great improvements to not only the Establishment, to the entire Restaurant. Much needed upgrades have been made and he plans to make it even better. I wish the new owner great success and to my Girls, I couldn't make it through my week without you! Thank you! Chelsey

I love Tropical Smoothie Cafe, BUT I WENT TWICE. There were 3 ladies (I want to be specific) I ordered one smoothie with coconut, pineapple and blueberries (I used to ordered that every time I would go to another Tropical Smoothie because I am highly allergic to Strawberries. But a this store the smoothie was terrible one sip of the smoothie and it tasted like the Fruits were old or the water was from the sink, I went back in two seconds later and they had to remake me THE SMOOTHIE again; JESUS HORRIBLE(AGAIN) I TOOK LIKE 3 more sips and I had a STOMACHACHE. The Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Downtown Sarasota is not WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY and most importantly your health. I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Not to my fiancés peers from Ringling College or mine.
