My first visit to Tumeric. I love the new, modern interior. Very clean restaurant and it doesn’t have the aroma that engulf most Indian restaurants, which I was appreciative of.

We had buffet brunch which was quite tasty. The buffet was small. There were 3 styles of chicken , rice, dhal, and 2 other sides. I really enjoyed the halwa dessert. I think there could have been another protein and 2 styles of chicken, with another vegetable for a side. Maybe naan could be an option as well.

We really enjoyed our server, Akshay Kumar, no not the Bollywood actor 😀. He was very polite, well mannered and friendly. The Indian music in the background complemented the atmosphere.

I can’t wait to order from the a la carte menu!

My first time here and I enjoyed the fine dining experience. The traditional scent of the Indian aromas didn’t over power air. The restaurant is new, modern, very very clean and the tempo of the music was very subtle which made it a wonderful backdrop.

Our young server Akshay is very much in appearance and speech like the movie star he is named after. The buffet was very tasty. It included 3 styles of chicken, rice and 3 other sides. The carrot halwah desert was quite nice.
I felt there could have been another protein and replace one of the sides with a vegetable. I look forward to an a la carte dining experience at Tumeric.

Not really as impressed as the reviews suggested. It's not a seasoning that I cared for at all as a true, born here southerner. Portions sizes were ok. The server did solicit reviews at the table (I believe they use these to post on line) that I think pad the positive ratings we see posted. Additionally its odd that an employee wants an honest review while standing in front of me while I am making a review. Hanging over top of customers requesting a review on your hand held device is why this place has gotten so many B.S. positive reviews. Stop soliciting reviews while customers at sitting in front of you and earn your real rating the way other restaurants do.

I recently dined at Turmeric Indian Bar & Grill in Sarasota, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. While I had high hopes for the food, the service fell short of expectations. The staff was inattentive, and we had to remind them several times to get our drink order. Additionally, the appetizer and main courses were served together, instead of each course being served separately. To make matters worse, the plates were not cleared promptly, leading to overcrowding on the table and further detracting from the overall dining experience.

Ordered takeout. We paid $5 for food to be brought out to car. That didn't happen. Went in restaurant and was told they wouldn't give the $s back because it's a 3rd party who charges that fee despite ordering off their website. Butter chicken was terrible. It had precooked chicken that was added to the sauce as an afterthought. Vindaloo was ok. Spinach paneer was pasty, didn't taste freshly made. Won't return.

What a wonderful dinner last night ! Was suggested the 2 appetizers both amazing then for dinner I got the butter chicken and my friend got the Josh lamb both outstanding . I can't wait to go back and try more dishes. Staff was all so nice

The service wasn't good at all. We were given a small table near the bathroom. When we asked for a new table, they literally asked - "What's wrong sitting here?"
We ordered biryani and it was okay-ish. You can get much better options at other local Indian restaurants.
After paying the bill, the server (who was bald with beard), came to us and asked us for more tip (we already gave a generous tip). It was more like a threat than a request. He stared into my eyes with a heavy voice and said - "are you new to this area? All the servers working here don't get paid much and we solely rely on tips. Keep this in my mind in your next visit".
I hope the restaurant admin will take a strict against this server and teach him a good hospitality lesson.

Always a fantastic experience from the food and the service to atmosphere. All dishes are delicious, as a Brit that has emigrated it is wonderful to have a delicious place to get my favourite cuisine!
