The sushi here is amazing. Everything tasted so fresh. I loved the crispy rice salmon bites and tempura tofu roll, the portions were perfect with very reasonable prices. Service was wonderful as well; I was reading a book and my server turned on the small tabletop light so that I could see more clearly. I’m already looking forward to going back to try some of their other menu items.

By far, one of the best sushi restaurants. We tried Utamaro, Sarasota, Volcano roll, and Usuzukuri. We liked that the sushi had lots of fish and little rice. The green tea was delicious, too. We already made a reservation to come back on Friday.

I visited Utamaro and ordered the shrimp teriyaki, which unfortunately came out half hot and half cold. I let the waitress know, and while I said it was fine to just heat it up, she insisted they would make a fresh one. I agreed, even though I had already removed the shrimp tails and added hot sauce. When she brought the dish back, I asked if it was a new plate, since I didn’t want to re-add sauce, and she said yes of course . But as soon as I looked down, it was obvious they had just reheated the original dish. The shrimp had no tails, exactly as I had left it and had plenty of heat from the hot oil I had originally added.
I didn’t appreciate being lied to, and the food itself was just average. Overall, a disappointing experience. One star.

Beautiful dinner! Attentive and friendly service, fresh sushi, lots of variety on the menu. Delicious food! Clean restaurant. Friendly sushi chefs. So much variety on the menu that I had a difficult time deciding what to order. We will definitely go back! 5 star experience!
