Veronica Fish and Oyster

This place NEVER disappoints. My favorite dinner anywhere in the Sarasota area is the wood grilled Branzino, served Mediterranean style with fresh made lavash/pita and hummus with veggie slices/greek salad. Absolutely DELICIOUS!! The Branzino is a whole fish, but don't let this stop you.. it's easy to eat around the bones, and this light and flaky white fish is the absolute BEST!!! Service is always outstanding. I highly recommend the bananas foster bread pudding for dessert.. there aren't even words to describe how amazing it is!

Our first experience did not disappoint. Greeted politely, seated promptly. Cocktails spot on. Chicken liver pate was very nice. The Red fish and Grouper entrees were outstanding. Adam, our server, was outstanding - made great suggestions on cocktails and entrees - very attentive throughout the evening without being intrusive. We'll return on future visits to Sarasota.

Outstanding dinner! The whole roasted cauliflower appetizer was absolutely delicious. It was our first time having redfish and we would definitely order it again! The wine list had some excellent wines at a great value. Our server Rebecca totally made our evening perfect...friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

My wife's 80th birthday. Veronica's made it a wonderful experience. Food, waiting staff, ambiance and of course, drinks: everything was perfect. I would recommend this restaurant very highly. Lenny N.

Our first time at Veronica's, and already looking forward to our next opportunity to try more items on the menu. Our table server, Rebecca, was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. We tried all of her recommendations, and were pleased with everything. One suggestion: Please consider providing a complimentary bread basket that is not a menu item. You offer so many dishes that need bread, i.e. soup, salad, entrees, so please don't ask diners to pay for your rolls.

What was good was great. What was bad. Was really bad. Had a good time

If I could give the food and atmosphere a 5 star I would but the staff and service was awful. The bartender was so rude I will never be back. The food might be good but it isn’t worth the service. I will never be back from the way I was treated from the man Bartender .

We went for our one year wedding anniversary and had a lovely dinner! This is our fourth time at Veronica's and we will be absolutely be back again.

Had a nice dinner. Nothing really outstanding but a good constituent performing restaurant. Food is always what you expect and in today's world, that's a good thing.

Food is a B+. Keep an eye on oak. And salt levels. The physical space is nice, but a little too dark. And slightly damp as well. This is important - please source better olives for the martinis. We will return.

There is a miss match of the ambience with the menu prices. Menus were also hard to read. Loved the pate . Clam corn soup was hearty . Red fish was very good. Salmon was perfect. Crab cake was fine. Overpriced! There's better value at other fine dining restaurants in the area. Our wait staff was pleasant as expected.

We love dining at Veronica's as it it just a total "ten" experience every time. Menu choices continue to be excellent. I opted for the appetizer mussels as my main course. It was a gigantic portion with no empty shells and more than enough for an entree. It's got a great flavor and hard for me or my husband to pass it by at every visit. He had the skirt steak and it was perfectly cooked; tender and delicious. Dessert was the bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. We shared it. Or should I say we wolfed down every morsel? Yums. Service is always excellent. We can actually "dine" at Veronica's as we are never rushed to place our order. We can enjoy a cocktail, then order apps, and then put in our dinner selections. The attention offered by the wait staff is terrific; attentive and warm.
