Vesuvio Wood Fired Pizza

Many restaurants say they make a Margherita Pizza. At best they are imposters dressing up their regular pizza with some basil and olive wand cooking it in their regular oven. Not the case with Vesuvio wood fired Pizza., owned by a native of Naples, Italy. The Margherita pizza is the real deal, good enough for Queen Margherita of Savoy. Raffaele Esposito would be honored by this version of his creation! The simplicity of this classic pizza is what makes it so special. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside (baked quickly at 900 degrees in a wood fired grill) yet wonderfully chewy on the inside, providing the ideal base for the toppings. The tomato sauce was fresh and vibrant, made from San Marzano tomatoes that burst with flavor. It had just the right balance of sweetness and acidity, enhancing every bite. The mozzarella cheese was creamy and melted beautifully, creating that irresistible stretch with each slice. Elevating the pizza was the fresh basil leaves. They added a fragrant, herbal note that complemented the other ingredients perfectly. A drizzle of extra virgin olive oil brought everything together, adding a rich, smooth finish. Overall, this Margherita pizza was a testament to the idea that sometimes, less is more. With just a few high-quality ingredients, it delivered a taste experience that was both simple and sublime. Such a great option for an outdoor party. Gennaro & Brittany are wonderful and they create both great pizzas and an awesome atmosphere. The wood-fired thin crust pizzas are delicious. Wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again for another party - so much fun!

I got the Vespa (cheese, pepperoni, and hot honey) and my husband got the truffle - AMAZING! Highly suggest.
