Drove here to eat. Place was closed but hours said it should be open. Disappointing

This review is bit weighted because on the morning I went with my family, they only had one older women (presumably the owner) running the whole dining room, which is tough for anyone. The fair here is traditional diner fair (ironically I did not find any waffles on the menu?), and it was done rather well and at a fair price point. My family all had pancakes and backm and eggs, while I opted for the fried mush and gravy, which was pretty good and plenty filling. The decor (and basically the diners identity) is based on Elvis stopping by in 1956, which was mentioned on the coffee cups. The decor is a shrine to the King, and it's a fun little time capsule, so don't expect any modernizations. It is cash only, but there is an ATM on site. Also, the sign for the restaurant is just a picture of Elvis' head (showing my earlier shrine comment), so it's best to follow a GPS when driving there.Overall, nothing blew me away with my visit, and it was tough to keep my 2 year old from making ruckus during the long wait due to staffing (though everyone working definitely tried their best). But for a small price in an area with higher prices, and for a bit of yesteryear kitschy fun, this place works out just fine.

It is more about the experience and the food, than the pretty decor. Picture with Elvis is a must. Waffle is fantastic!

Sat on this review for a year hoping that my feelings would become more positive towards this establishment. They haven't. To be clear this is not a complaint about wait time for food, though it took over an hour. The poor review is for the terrible service. We had to leave earlier than we expected and asked for our food to-go and to pay at the counter. Our waitress walked to the kitchen and yelled "they must think this is a McDonald's or something" and then came back and lectured me on the food taking longer, stating "if you wanted fast food, you should go to McDonald's". All I asked is for the food to-go and to pay, not a word about the wait time. When we got the food it was okay - a little cold. Will not be back.

Didn't even dine and sample the food because the service was so bad, dismissive, and insulting that I just felt completely unwanted as a potential customer. I decided after 8 minutes of being ignored, and then insulted, to leave and spend my money any place other than an establishment that literally went out of its way show and tell me that I wasn't welcome there. This business will never get a dime of my hard earned money, my patronage, or a positive recommendation from me, EVER!

If you want fresh down home cooking get to waffle stop !! Open early for breakfast 6 days a week The owner is sincere and hand picks her products for guaranteed freshness. They take cash only so make sure you have cash or atm card I have found many 5 star restaurants we love but non any better than the waffle stop. Will make about anything you want just ask. Oh also ....., her prices are way too low. Tip well to make up for it

Hey! Did you hear Elvis ate here before??!! LOL, this restaurant and staff will definitely let you know. The decorations are a little over the top, but the staff here is really friendly. The food was good, but not exceptional. I got the chicken fried steak and eggs breakfast, and it was delicious and filling. There are places with better food out there, but if you want to enjoy great service from some extremely friendly ladies, this is a great option.

Food was inedible, the bit of the kitchen that could be seen from the table was dirty and the fruit looked like it had been sitting out all week, service was fine I guess, but overall it was a very bad experience and a big disappointment. It's whole advertising is centered around Elvis Presley eating there, but never mentioning if he enjoyed it or not, and as someone who has lived in England (notoriously known for their bad food) I couldn't stomach it

This is a true old school, small town diner and we loved it! Yes, the signage could use a little work and maybe updated a bit inside but if you go in knowing it's an older diner, I think you will be very pleased!! I loved all the pictures of family and friends from over the years--I felt like I was back at my local diner. The front house has 1 woman hosting and 1 chef in the back and there were all locals there (always a good sign). We were greeted asap and ordering is easy bc menu is already there when you sit down. The food was great and exactly what I expected from a diner--omelette, toast, waffle. Overall, def takes a little effort to find the spot due to signage but I would absolutely give it a try when here!!
