I must admit that I have never enjoyed shopping at Walmart but their order on line/pick up service rocks! There seems to be a Walmart every 3 miles in FL and I've picked up orders at several locations depending on which I will be closest to based on my schedule and have never been disappointed. I like that it gives me suggestions of things I like and that you can order things beyond groceries.

I'm giving my clerk 5 stars too. She was amazing and friendly. But was really impressed with the response to an occurrence at the next register over from me. I am not going to describe the secret signal the employees have when there is a theft , but I kept hearing this signal happening right next to me... over and over and over. It was puzzling. However I soon found out when another employee brought over to this clerk a cart filled with some items. Because of this wonderful clerks, perseverance and persistence, word got through this busy store and the thief was stopped and items retrieved before the thief got away. This persistence, dedication and quick trained response should not go unnoticed. I and everyone around was impressed and hope this young lady with the cute mask is recognized for her quick action. this occurred at approximately 1:45 pm. My nice clerk was at terminal SCO11484 and the dedicated employee who caught the thief/thieves was at the next register over ( which would be west) from us. Wish I had names. Give her a raise! I even told her she should get one!

Trash. Never enough registers open. People will stock shelves around you like you're in the way. Did I mention maybe 2 lanes open and only half the "self check out lines" work. And believe me this store is busy. The Walmart liquor store right there next door - closes at 10pm, but when I got out of work at 9:30 on a Tuesday night and came to the door at 9:45pm, it was locked. And the sign says closes at 10pm, I see the associate, a young girl standing there talking to her friend. So I knock, she looks at me and says "closed" I say through the glass.. removing my mask.. "10 pm?" Noticing it's 15 minutes until then. She looks at her friend to continue talking and then back to me only to repeat "closed" without a hesitation.. Nice. I hate this Walmart and tell everyone if you have ANY other option to go with that. The parking lot is also full of panhandlers and bums asking for money. Damn, I wish this corporate mega giant would get their act together and tighten up, or please bring in another grocery store or a Target to this corner. Yuck. Over it. I'd give it half a star if I could.

I wish there were an option for 0 star. The manager here kicked me and a friend out of the store because we got cussed out by two older men. He kicked me out even though I said nothing profane and was simply waiting for baseball cards, and I believe it was because I was wearing a Trump mask.

Many items are stocked in the grocery, great value items, very good for your staple shopping. Staff is always helpful. Store carries most all items you need to be well stocked in grocery, paper products, cleaning products, canned goods, fresh produce, avocados are usually sold less than ALL area stores and are fresh and good HAAS brand. Fresh flowers are usually delivered on Tuesday or Wednesday, so hit it then for great deals are fresh flowers, just beautiful. Store is clean as well as bathrooms and well maintained. Good electronics, automotive, housewares and crafts. As far as the garden center, well you can't fool with mother nature, you have to hit it right to get those luscious plants freshly stocked, you have to peruse periodically. I have had good luck and plenty of potting soil to start your own oasis.

Hands down the worst Walmart I have ever been to. So beyond poorly managed that I leave either unable to purchase what I came for because it's dead, wilted, or not stocked, or I have such a bad customer service experience that I do not want to make a purchase at all. Today was my last visit to the location indefinitely, I'd rather drive 10 minutes further than ever experience this store again.

For shopping at Walmart weekly, I always expect the absolute least because I know that a bunch of simpletons are working here. My last visit was definitely the worst experience I have ever had hands down. I literally just went to buy one thing, a Starbucks gift card. My cashier had no clue what he was doing and didn't know how to ring up my gift card so after pressing multiple buttons, he happen to charge my card twice somehow. While walking out, I noticed the double charge, and went to the customer service desk to try and figure this out. Of course, to no surprise, the line was so long with only one person working. After waiting in line for 35 minutes, the worker had to call the manager for assistance. After paging the "Customer Service Manager" 5+ times on the intercom, 20 minutes later he comes sluggishly walking over with his broken foot. Not sure if it was his broken foot that took him so long to come and assist a customer or if it was the fact that he didn't care, but he finally came and was no help to me at all! Claiming how they are always trying to please the customer, and the customer is always first, this Walmart location definitely does NOT serve up to this commitment!

I went to this Walmart twice for a few interviews and the only reason they wouldn't hire me is because I couldn't give them a definite answer on having a babysitter for the weekends wasted 2 days and 20 dollars just to get that answer

Beware of purchasing prescription drugs at Walmart, by using GoodRx, I was able to compare drug prices and they are often many times more expensive than other pharmacies, this is echoed in the latest issue of Consumer's Report. Do not believe that their other pricing extends to their pharmacy.

There's absolutely NO hand baskets to shop with, only gigantic carts. I had to carry all of my things until I found a tiny little thing that is meant to hook onto carts. It was extremely inconvenient. I was told by an employee that "there's only two in the store, and no one has ordered any more". It appears management is not keeping up with the store.....
Wow. The employees level of service is totally awful. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I'm noticing a definite pattern of ships in Sarasota. I'd recommend against all of these shops in this area honestly. This one is worse though for sure.

Horrible. Years ago this was a regular Walmart and they turned it into a a supercenter. Getting in to the plaza is a nightmare. Getting out is worse. The lay out of the parking is atrocious. Going into the store and as is the case every time I go in, there were no shopping baskets. There never are. The feel of the place is old, dated and dirty. The carts look like they are rusty. Staff walk around with shirts not tucked in, some chew gum. It's just an all around bad shopping experience.

I have been coming to this location for years and have had a pretty good experience each time around. However in the last couple of months things have been pretty awful. The customer service is extremely rude and unhelpful and bad mouths customers right in their faces. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism like this. Won't be coming back anytime soon.
