I really wanted to like this place, since my margarita was good and only $5.50 tax inc. on happy hour. However, they allow smoking and four customers and the bar tender were all smoking. I drank my margarita very fast, paid, and left as fast as I could, since I literally couldn't breathe. I thought all bars/restaurants are nonsmoking in Florida, but I was wrong...The bar tender didn't wash his hands after smoking and making more drinks. When I head back to the area, I'll be drinking at the Thirsty Turtle, that is nonsmoking.

Mike and the crew do a great job making this bar "your" bar. While they do not serve food, I believe you can bring in your favorite eats from nearby, and there are plenty of choices. Sure, there may be places that lend themselves to being trendier, with loud music and a barrage of lights, but this place makes you feel relaxed and at home. Clearly this is a family ran establishment, and they gladly invite you to be part of that! Thanks guys, see you all again soon!

Stopped in during vacation one night and after meeting such a cool bartender (Mike), we decided to stop in everyday for the rest of our time in town. The regulars are great, the conversations with the patrons and owners were fun, the atmosphere was lively, everyone is so welcoming.Thanks for having us! lol.Trish, Scott & Ashbie

Looking for a place where everyone knows your name ??? move over Cheers...hello WEST END PUB...the friendly banter between the locals & bartenders will keep you entertained while you enjoy your drinks...just don't ask for kahlua...service could be slow due to bartenders on their cells...i am a loyal frequent patron & owned a pub in Ct...this is a must to visit ?

This is my go-to bar in Sarasota. Mike D and Kelly are my favorite bartenders in the planet! You can pretty much do whatever you want at this bar cuz it's all adults and everyone acts appropriate. I've never once seen a fight in this bar or anyone screaming at anyone for that matter. Everyone's mature, everyone's always laughing! Always a good time!!!
