My partner and I were visiting Sarasota to see family and had the night off as my aunt volunteered to watch our kids. It was our one date night on vacation and we wanted to make the most of it. We only had a couple of hours and wanted somewhere with a restaurant and good drinks at a bar to hang out after. I discovered wink wink when searching for great cocktails and a gluten free menu and am so glad I did! Hotel bars usually aren’t my thing but I loved the vibe when I saw the pictures and it did NOT disappoint. We loved the drinks (my partner had THREE of persephone’s revenge) and food and atmosphere but even better were the people. Moe and Jason at the front gave great recommendations and made us feel we chose right from the first step inside. It was EXACTLY what we needed and we ended up staying for a few hours, cracking up at the vending machines, swapping stories with Lulu at the bar, admiring Moe’s style and kept coming back to Jason’s hospitality. Thank you wink for one of our best date nights in a while!Dietary restrictions: Many gluten free options! Including fried chicken!

OMG eat here only if you have a lot of time. Unique and good food choices but it takes forever to get it. We went on a Friday for lunch and were there for almost 2 hours.It was definitely not crowded so we couldn’t understand why it took so long to get our food. It even took forever to pay.Probably not going back.

Pretty good spot. Definitely has a “hotel lounge” vibe but the food was exceptional, particularly for a hotel restaurant. I recommend the brussels sprouts appetizer, the grouper and the scallops. Decent service at the bar too.

Ain’t No Sweat
I usually don’t give reviews because I always think they get lost in cyber space. But today I felt different, I had such good service from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. I thought it was worth leaving a review. Walking in I encountered Mo/Moe the manager and the host Nivea, those two gals smiled at me as I walked through the threshold, they answered all of my questions (I have crazy food allergies) they were patient with me. I went to the bar I ordered a light beer chatted with Lulu who is a doll! And Jack who I ended up talking to about the Titans(Oh Boy). Then I scoped out the pool and stumbled upon a bar there , spoke with Bryce who is a mix master with the drinks, his suggestions for drinks-DO IT!!Then I came back in, winked at Mo/Moe ordered something light from Jackson who was attentive! The food runner (I forgot her name, Raven black hair) was a super sweet cutie pie. The food was delicious and I savored every single bite (that’s rare for me) I SHALL return! Wink Wink is my new HOME!!

So I popped in with my fam for a bit and met some extremely talented staff. To be fair, Wink Wink is a hidden jewel that really no one in Sarasota knows about. The lamb was AMAZING !!!!! the food is fresh and flavorful. The Chef has to be a mastermind. the drinks ALWAYS top notch, per usual Lulu, Jack and Bryce served it up and I had a running tab, lol. The hostess Neveh very warm and welcoming, the manager Mo. was AMAZING A knock out as well as a girl who knows the scenes the bougie stuff I like to do, that is lmao. The food runner Julie was super sweet and the server Cera was sweet as well. Wink Wink never disappoints when I’m in town! Always ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️’s like a general!

We stayed at The Modern this month and frequented Wink Wink often for breakfast, dinner and evening cocktails. We had the best time and such amazing service from the staff that we wanted to make sure to give them a great review. Vinny and Jack were wonderful on bar (the best cocktails in sarasota), knowledgeable and friendly. Erin gave us the best service, making us feel right at home; she was so friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back next year and hope to see these guys!

Was disappointed that we were at 2 separate tables. Service was sooooo slow. Our server was very pleasant and did a good job, but it took so long to get drinks and food. Too many food dislikes to get into here. Won't be returning.

1. The valet was hard to find. 2. The brisket in the Bao appetizers was tough. 3. The entree “you sneaky tiki” was a tiny appetizer size. It was not tasty. 4. The desert, a fried pie, was simply horrible. 5. The noise level was too loud. 6. The service was very slow
