Niki's Rainbow Restaurant/Bar Event room

The restaurant has several Mediterranean vegan options, but the one that really rocks is the vegan moussaka. It’s based upon the manager’s family recipe and sometimes sells out. Falafel sandwich is good. Vegan platter offers nice selection. A side order of foul beans dip is yummy but garlicky. Wine and cocktails available.

Good Greek food. Server was nice. Prices fair.

For everyone who intends to enjoy a meal with those they love, do not and I repeat do NOT do so here!

I never in my life been to a restaurant where the owner is so rude, ill mannered, and down right disrespectful to his customers as well as his workers. How is anyone suppose to enjoy a meal or time with their family when all that they can hear is the owner literally dropping F bombs at his employees. I mean it’s one thing if they royally messed up and things became a big deal, but these poor servers are getting cussed at for almost everything they do, even something so simple as engaging with the customers they are serving… it’s literally their job to engage with the customers and give them a great experience. It’s hard to see honestly and it blew my mind! My server was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of and even took the time to make us feel welcomed to the area as we were only visiting. Only for me to overhear the owner yelling at the staff because they’re being too friendly to the customers.

I pulled up the reviews after the fact to see if maybe we just caught him on a bad day but then I see a review saying the owner berated a customer and chased him out the door all while yelling slanderous comments. Upon reading further that customer had a complaint about additional charges to his bill that wasn’t supposed to be there. Instead of trying to figure out the mistake and making it right, he instead chooses to berate the customer and run them out.

I continue to read and the theme is the same. There are quite a few reviews about the owner and the customer service that I wish I had seen before I took my family there.

Bottom line is this, if the owner is this bad, and the customer service is this bad, then this place is not worth your money. Our server was great and honestly I’m sure many of the servers are just as good but they’re under some terrible leadership and that’s dragging them down. I do hope this place can improve but my experience was overall disturbing. So much so that I wouldn’t put it past the owner to be the type to spit in your food and charge you for it.

I used to love coming here for the Greek salad and chicken tenders. They have changed. Maybe not their fault but it deserves a review. Chicken tenders are not the same. They’re tough and dry and small. They used to be large with Panko breading and juicy. The salad was, OK, the feta cheese was made out of cows, milk and not goat cheese and the salad dressing had absolutely no vinegar in it. It was all oil and spices. I had to ask for vinegar. Bread was still delicious and so were the tomatoes on my salad. But I will never get chicken tenders Again. Maybe I’ll try the moussaka or the Shawarma. Waitress was a doll for putting up with me. She got a big tip.

What was ordered and a realistic take.
App sampler (hummus, tabouli, baba ghanouj) was incredibly grainy, and the server had to point out which was baba which is ridiculous, tasted absolutely canned and artificial.

Musaka serve with a “bechamel” that could only be described as rubber and incredibly bitter
Vegetarian sampler, couldn’t even swallow a bite of any dish. Everything came out room temp. Spanakopita philo was soggy and the feta tasted off, tatziki was nothing more than room temperature yogurt, zucchini pie a complete mess of scrambled egg (or at least the texture from what I gathers before spitting out) and Lebanese salad was so old it began to take on a fermented sour like no other.
Pita is store bought fluffy fake stuff.
Paid for the whole meal, as it was our mistake to even come here in the first place, never again. Stay away if you even remotely know what Greek food should taste and look like.

We’ve been coming to this location for a while now and have noticed the quality of food isn’t as great as it used to be. The lamb we received tonight was hard and seemed old or had been left out for a while. Will be our last visit, too expensive to be mediocre.

I am sure that this review will get removed immediately upon posting but I feel that I MUST warn people before they go here. I went here today with my sister and niece for lunch. We have been going to Niki’s for over 10 years and have always had good food and service but this has really changed in the past two years. It started going downhill when one of their servers was adding more tips to our tickets. That happened about three times to me and I reported it to the manager who always apologized but never refunded the overpayment.

We started having bad service and the servers couldn’t get our orders correct. We decided to go again today and give them another try, boy was that a mistake. We sat down and waited for our server. It was about five minutes later and no server came over or even acknowledged us. We figured that this was probably a mistake to give them another chance so we decided to leave and go to another place. The owner was incredibly rude as he berated us from across the restaurant when we decided to leave. He then aggressively rushed at me continually berating us as I went for the door. What kind of owner does that? Well, I will NEVER return to Niki’s ever again and I told him that as I hastily headed out the door. My advice to anyone, don’t give your hard earned money to this horrible man.

My wife and I went in for the first time yesterday. It was such a pleasant experience with the great service we got from Michelle and the food was amazing. Even though my wife and I ordered a couple of high end drinks the bill was well within typical prices around this area.
