Orchid Island Shellfish

I’ve been on the hunt for a great local seafood market, and this weekend I stopped into The Original Indian River Seafood Market for the first time. What an incredible surprise! Their selection is unbelievable. Shrimp, clams, beautiful fresh fish fillets (even lionfish!), lobster, crab—you name it, they’ve got it. We brought home a sesame-crusted tuna steak to grill later and a couple of huge crab cakes for dinner. Those crab cakes were outstanding. I browned them on the stovetop, finished them in the oven, and served them over sautéed spinach and roasted corn with white rice, fresh avocado, and a little compound butter on top. Absolutely delicious. So happy to have found this place. We’ll definitely be back!

this is the only place we buy our seafood from and that's how it's going to stay! friendly and welcoming staff, not forgetting how fresh the seafood is. fair prices but how can you even put a price on this fresh quality of what these great people have in the store! thank you again guys. Picked up a pound and a half of the Gulf White shrimp tonight for my husband’s birthday! The most delicious and meaty shrimp we’ve had in a long time. Wish we could post pictures! Get your seafood here!!!

Growing up in a fish house in Naples. I know great seafood from mullet to stone crabs. The quality and care they have to offer the best definitely shows. Great down to earth place. I enjoyed the local oysters some of the best ever. Heading back to get another bucket of oysters for sure.

We purchased some oysters while Nicolette was doing a tasting at crab e bills and they were the most delicious we have ever had! We bought 4 dozen to take home after trying one!

We’ve made steamed oysters, oyster stew, steamed middle neck clams from Treasure Coast Shellfish—all so yummy! And it feels SO good to support a local seafood farmer.
