What a fun place to eat. Really cool early 60's decor. Not a giant menu, but something for everyone. Everything homemade and delicious. I had French onion soup (yummy) with a side of really OUTSTANDING fried onion rings (so crispy and light). Great brewed ice tea. Be sure and grab a brownie or a piece of one of the other fancy dessert cakes to bring home for later. Our waitress Nancy provided great service. A wonderful dining experience.

Sebastian's Roadside was a big disappointment after a local pal highly recommended it... Venue: cool little place, just off Rt 1. Funky and interesting decor. Multiple rooms, many tables and booths. Food: fair at best. Two of us ordered bacon cheese burgers ( mine med rare) with hot, extra crispy fries. My burger was med-med well. The fries were not very hot and definitely not crispy. My husband got the fried oysters and a salad. The oysters were overcooked and crispy and too much breading. The salad dressing was not blue cheese even tho the server insisted it was. Service: not good at all. Our server was often missing in action and rather hostle. We joked that we thought she was hiding. Very weird. They have a daily special/ focus that is pretty interesting. German day, fish fry day, prime rib night... Maybe an off day, but we will not be back even for the prime rib night which initially really caught my attention. If you found this review helpful, I would appreciate a thumbs up.
Had dinner last night here. The restaurant was crowded but we only waited 10 minutes for a table. We were greeted by our server, who was pleasant. My wife had the French onion soup and salad while I had the hot open face turkey. The food was very tasty with good-sized portions. We would each order the entry again. We were traveling through while it appeared the restaurant was full of locals who know a good restaurant.
Went there there was three of us my food was okay cuz I ordered the meatloaf. My friend ordered the hot turkey sandwich the hot turkey sandwich with gravy was cold the gravy was too salty and the turkey was luncheon me. You need to put real turkey not that stuff you buy at the deli luncheon me my other friends meal was cold outside and it definitely wasn't homemade it looked like it was frozen the service the waitress needs to learn how to be a better waitress never brought bread to the table had to ask for refills for the iced tea when I ordered my meal I had two side she told me I only had one she doesn't know the menu never came and checked on us to see if the food was good or not which it wasn't for my two friends at the end she never asked us if we wanted dessert she just dropped off the check. So I can only give you a one star and that's all you're getting the service sucked and so did some of the food except for the meatloaf
I went to have dinner on a Saturday Evening. Being off season there was no wait. We were seated and then we waited. After about 5-7 minutes our server (order taker) whisked by and asked if we had our drink order in yet. "No" and she was gone. A table was sat behind us and there server met them almost immediately. Finally we placed our drink order. That came out quickly with a frosty mug. Just beer or wine for adult beverages. When we ordered our dinner I asked for a side salad in addition to my burger plate and another in my party also had a salad. His salad arrived and mine did not. I waited and waited and finally the order taker came by and said she forgot my salad because "she doesn't often think of a salad with a burger order (it is a side option). I wasn't sure how to take the comment but it was made. Instead of getting my salad she floated around the dining area chatting and having a great conversation with our neighbor. Then the salad arrived, phew. This was easily a 10 minute wait from the first salad served to the person in my party. Food came out shortly after and that was it. We never saw her at our table again until she asked if we needed a box or desert. She talked to everyone else. Never asked if I wanted any refills on our drinks, nothing (my beer was empty pretty early in the dinner). The food was fair but the service was terrible. That is why I called her an order taker. She did nothing but that.
Finally, I know it's a family establishment but a family across from us had a small child. The mom got up with the child and proceeded to go table by table showing off her child. Then a little bit later the father was walking around the dining area "flying" the child like superman. No one spoke to them to sit or not disturb the other dining folks so this maybe a regular thing for this place.

Shrimp Scampi was excellent. Decent amount of shrimp and unlike most I’ve had thankfully not drowning in the butter sauce. Only complaint about it was the tails still being on the shrimp.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie was good but very rich. Definitely needs to be paired with a coffee or hot tea.

The atmosphere at Sabastian’s Roadside Restaurant is amazing! I can’t stress that enough for this location. As you’ll see in my video and pictures of this restaurant. It is the most unique place I have been in in a really long time. The decorum is of the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s for the most part and it is like walking back in time. The staff greet you with plentiful smiles and welcoming gestures. My server was Michele and the Nancy other server on duty were very friendly and always smiling as they both buzzed about taking care of the guests that were there. Joni who is the manager on duty was also engaged with the guest making sure all were well taken care of. Having great staff is one key to a successful restaurant and the other is having great food! I was not disappointed with the quality of my dinner either. I had ordered the Boneless Twin Pork Chops and for the sides I had Mashed Potatoes and Gravy. BTW those potatoes were fresh NOT BOXED along with snow peas. The chops were VERY TENDER and VERY JUICY. The presentation is exactly what you would expect from a restaurant themed for the 50’s Home cooked deliciously and done to perfection. My compliments to the kitchen staff and their perfection of a great home cooked meal. THANK YOU!! To Mr. WRIGHT great concept don’t ever lose that touch!!
Kid-friendliness: The decor will keep them interested. Model plane and trains are throughout the restaurant.
Wheelchair accessibility: Doors are plenty wide for wheel chairs!

Live in wabasso down the road from Sebastian roadside restaurant usually go about five or six times a year. Went tonight for all. You can eat fish. Everything was fine. Our server could care less. I think she was mad that we came in after 7:00 :00 and she was going to be there past 8:00. When we asked her for stuff she went and got it and just dropped it on the table without saying anything. Kind of annoyed that we were even there I think and when I did a second order for fish had to stop her walking by to get anything from her. She never stopped by to ask how anything was or if we needed anything. Took 20 minutes to get my second order of fish so I just put it in a box to go and went to the register and she goes. I hope there's not fish in that box and I go well. Yeah I've got to go waited 30 minutes for a second helping a fish just threw it in the trash right in front of her and she didn't even give us our checks. We asked for separate checks. She put it all on one. Usually had a good experience at this place but never again. Also don't order the mashed potatoes and gravy. They taste really funky and if you get a side salad, be prepared to be severely underwhelmed, lettuce, quarter tomato one slice of cucumber and two paper thin rings of red onion. Get something else as a side!!! Anyway, everybody else was very nice. The other servers were very nice and smiled a lot. Guess we just got a bad apple. So if you go make sure you don't go after 7:00 because they'll resent you because they all want to be out of there by h8 pm sharp!!! It sad because I probably will not be going back again and going to warn other people as well to be prepared if they do go!!! I guess it's a supply side kind of place. They really don't care if you come back or not!!
