Island Jerk Shack did NOT come to play.
They catered half the food at my wedding, and let me tell you… it was an absolute HIT. Like, people still talking about it kind of hit. The jerk chicken was unreal—perfectly seasoned, smoky, juicy, with that authentic island flavor that instantly transported me straight back home. 🇯🇲✨
The rice and peas? Flawless. Rich, comforting, and exactly how it’s supposed to taste. This wasn’t just “good catering food”—this was real Jamaican food, made with love and serious skill.
So grateful we chose Island Jerk Shack for such an important day. The food brought warmth, joy, and a whole lot of flavor to our celebration. If you want authentic island vibes and food that feels like home, look no further.

I’m not from this part of town however I took a chance ordering lunch here and I was not disappointed (like I usually am when trying new places). The meat was so tender and the rice was good. The cabbage was steamed to my liking and was almost raw so I threw it away.
I’m from New York and this is the closest to authentic Jamaican I’ve found so far in Florida. I really enjoyed my meal.

We flew from New York for my sister-in-law funeral. We were looking for somewhere to catered for the repass. We try several Jamaican restaurant until we get to the Island jerk shack there was nothing compared to this place. They cater for us. The food was spectacular everyone at the repass. enjoy it on complemented it I’m telling you if you ever need somewhere to eat are catered for your function this is the place I recommended. The food was good and I am from New York and if we say the food is good, the food is damn good 100%
