Sims Smoked

We were driving through on a road trip from Michigan. We saw this place and had to stop to try it. This place definitely didn't disappoint us. We left full and 100% satisfied. We spent $38 including tip, it was well worth every penny.

We ordered the chicken, ribs and mullet. All three were Top Shelf! Hats off to whoever manned that smoker. 👌 we'll definitely be back again.

I'm giving a 5-star rating for now because I plan to return and try a few more dishes to see if I maintain this positive review. Starting with the highlights: the barbecue sauce was absolutely delicious, and the turkey rice was fantastic! The brisket was also super tender, and the prices felt quite fair compared to other barbecue places.

As for a bit of constructive feedback, while the brisket was tender, it didn't have the most robust flavor I've experienced. However, the amazing sauce has me eager to sample more of their other barbecue options. Unfortunately, mac and cheese wasn't available during my visit, but I’m looking forward to trying it next time. Overall, this place serves solid barbecue that’s definitely worth checking out!

Absolutely delicious food. Ordered 2 dinner plates of brisket and a rib dinner. It fed my family. Will definitely be returning customer since I live 600 feet away.

Pulled pork was great, and the portion on the sandwich was tremendous. Mustard bbq sauce isnt my normal go to, but they've got a really good one here.
Sweet tea was $3, cup was kinda small and no refills, but it was nice and strong with not too much sugar, but still plenty sweet enough.

I think the best deal on their menu is the price for a pound of pulled pork, its like right around $12. If I lived closer I'd eat here probably 2 times a week no doubt.

Sims is quite a find. I visited today for the first time and had the pulled pork sandwich. It was magnificent! Great flavor and texture, and a huge helping. The mustard based sauce was a real plus. The Cole slaw was fabulous with just a hint of horse radish. I can’t wait to go back.

I love the food! The service is great. Seasoned real nice and very flavor. Any time I am in Seffner stopping at Sims for a plate. They have parking for Trucks too, so Truck drivers can get some real food. I was tired of Truck stop food.

Their food is good and I use to be a loyal customer but I’ve called too many times about the smoked mullet not being on door dash and Uber Eats and they keep saying they’ll update it and never do.

Edit to reply to the owners’ response: I actually have been calling on and off since the beginning of June. I call about 2 months or so ago and y’all had the mullet, I informed you all that it was not in DoorDash and I was informed that y’all would update it and then told me to check Uber eats, I checked Uber eats and still nothing and I STILL ordered, thinking, ok I’m a loyal customer so they’ll honor their word. And nope! Nothing. If the fish is first come, first served, why not give the people that are ordering online a change to be first? The last time I ordered it was May and it haven’t been on DoorDash since then. But y’all have had it since then but hust not for customers ordering online which is insane to me.
