It's Heaven on Earth, gardening, picnic lunches, fresh, fresh fresh!, and delicious Tea, and a sweet bakery case full of chocolate and other treats.

Outside seating, good food, dog spots outside. We had boil as an appetizer, and everything tasted yummy.

Excellent lunch, friendly atmosphere, ecletic shopping. I had split pea soup, bbq pork sandwich, cole slaw, cherry tart desert and spiced raspberry iced tea.

Fantastic food, fair prices, wonderful people and service, great place to sit outside, neat store, . . .a fun place to go and to eat.

I was so excited to find this location my sister recommended. I placed an order for my self sister and brother. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with potato salad on the side and a vegetable salad. last but at least a lemon cake.. and for My Brother, I ordered the pork a pulled pork sandwich with an apple pie, dessert, side, salad, veggie soup. For my sister, I had ordered veggie burger, the side salad sorry no coleslaw, veggie soup, and a chocolate cake. I was so disappointed with not only the way the sandwiches were made like for instance, my chicken salad sandwich was chewy and the portions for it the lemon cake and the potato salad was just enough for one bite very small. The vegetable soup was release. It tasted like if you opened up a can of potato soup and added some raw broccoli. The pulled pork sandwich was poorly made and it looks like they dumped a spoon of some red sauce on just the corner of the sandwich in which my brother said could've been better if they season the meat and put sauce on the entire sandwich. The veggie burger for my sister look like MorningStar veggie burger and it taste just like it. I wanted to like it so badly I could not recommend this place to anyone. Sorry outside of that. The red barn antique is beautiful prices are sky high. The back porch area looked like the bio of New Orleans very beautiful ambienceI haven't had the pleasure of trying any of their cocktails. The setting is very beautiful and very vintage. The reason for the one star is the quality of food.

I have been to The Back Porch a number of times and I love it. Nothing beats a cute little place with a gorgeous view and good picnic type foods. It’s one of my favorite places to visit with friends and family especially when they visit from out of town.

My family did a girls trip out here to eat and shop. I had never been here before and I was not disappointed! Starting with the drive up everything outside is adorable and was decorated for fall and Christmas. There was lots of parking available and it was busy but not overcrowded on a Saturday morning. To order here you grab a menu and fill it out at your table where they have pencils set out for you. Write your table number on top and then mark what items you want to eat and then bring it up to a cashier. The service was quick and everyone was so friendly. They have a great deal for $10.99 and it comes with a sandwich, a soup, salad and dessert. Lunches are served in the cutest little basket to your table and there is quite a variety to choose from. I had the beef sandwich that was made with a horsey sauce and French dressing and it was so so good! The tomato soup was delicious and the pasta salad was yummy too. I loved the carrot cake as it was moist and had a great flavor. It was the perfect amount of food and I loved being able to taste so much of the menu. Shopping is available in the restaurant but also at the other 3-4 stores on property. The only downfall of this place is I was hoping for some local made Christmas decor.

Delightful. Everything was perfect. Service outstanding, food was fresh and tasty, atmosphere was everything. We considered going to Cracker Barrel for lunch and I'm so glad we drove the extra minutes to support this family run restaurant instead. We will be regulars from now on!!

Recommend for a quick lunch. The location is where CR-557 & 557A split, the entry is tricky, across double yellow to access parking, watch for merging traffic from northbound 557. You'll be looking for a group of older red-painted barns & shops; the Back Porch is off to the left at the south end of the propertyWe were seated quickly indoors and got our orders in promptly. There is a nice deck out back with fans and an appealing sitting area. There is an outdoor bar as well. Beer & wine available, possibly cocktails, didn't see bottles to know for sure.Drinks are self-serve with flavored iced teas (quite good, punchy) or soda fountain."Picnic" menu. I don't want to base the review on what I had, but I would not get the veggie burger again, it was packaged and meh. Salad was tiny, but good, nice dressing, might be better to get one of the larger salad plates offered. Other sandwiches looked much more appealing. I ordered wrongly. Dessert was a nice size lemon drop cake, good flavor, a bit small. Vegetable soup was good, I'd get that again.Service was good, smooth.

Heading home from a weekend in Orlando, we needed a nice home cooked meal. This restaurant was highly rated on Yelp and we were glad that we got off the beaten path. Everything from the unique way of ordering your lunch (which is delivered in a wooden picnic basket) while sitting under the tin roof next to the lake enveloped in Cyprus trees to the spiced sweet tea, this was a wonderful way to end our vacation. The servers were welcoming and kind as well. Oh, don't forget to say hi to the alligator off the deck.

What a delightful place to spend a relaxing, casual lunch. The restaurant decor is lovely and it screams, "I'm going to enjoy this experience!" The 22 (!) of us sat at tables for 4, the service is 'fill out the menu, take it to the counter and pay, and they will serve you.' Very 'down home' with good service, good food and a delightful experience. A sandwich, cole slaw (with just a touch of bleu cheese-delicious) and 2 desserts (had to take one home) was $10.99, All of us really enjoyed the time together. There are several other shops next door (antiques) and plants for sale at the Porch. There is outdoor seating. Wine, beer, credit cards are fine.

This is great place for a ladies lunch with friends! The food, setting, service, and price are perfect for an afternoon get together! AND the gift shops and antique barn provide an extra bonus for activities before or after you lunch!.
