A classic that is always a pleasure to revisit. The food is consistently delicious, well executed, without great pretension, but a unique touch.

Cafe Pastis is a small quaint restaurant located in the sunset area. It is tucked away in a small unassuming old strip mall. We went here for a girl's night out birthday celebration. We ordered the French onion soup, veggie soup, muscles and grilled grouper dinner. The vegetable soup was AMAZING. It didn't have any dairy and was very flavorful. The grilled grouper was fresh - it came with vegetables and roasted potatoes. The wait staff was very nice and very attentive. We ordered two bottles of wine and they allowed us to taste the wine before purchasing the bottle. It was very reasonably priced. We're glad we came - everyone had a great time and it's so refreshing to discover new spots like this to enjoy with friends. Good food, good drinks, great company.

Delicious French cuisine. Service was warm and hospitable. Although it was jam packed, staff was efficient in accommodating us. Very cozy and airy ambiance.

Loved coming here. The good was amazing everything we tried was 10. If you don't mind waiting an hour or 2 before you actually get a chance to eat, then come for sure because the food and ambiance is worth the wait!

I walked in to ask about if they sold pastries. The waiter with the blue eyes was very rude when he told me that it’s only people dining in the restaurant. He came right to my face and made me feel very unwelcome. I rather take my business to the pinecrest bakery across the street.

I had lunch here with my father yesterday, and we had a marvelous experience. The staff at this establishment are experts in keeping up with a busy service time, and then providing delicious food and beverages in a relaxed, friendly environment. We arrived, fairly close to lunch hour, closing time, but they still seated us with a smile, and made sure that we had a good experience. We split the "moules et frittes" and shared some some great conversation over the meal and a couple of Kronenbourg beers. The ambience is excellent, a small French bistro vibe throughout. It is very casual and comfortable. The menu is enormous, reflecting upon the staff, considerable experience with preparing these types of French comfort food dishes in a small, but efficient kitchen. If you're feeling the need for delicious French, comfort, food, and you're in the Coral Gables area, you simply must visit Café Pastis!! we shall most certainly be back for more soon! Merci, et à bientôt!"

Best French onion soup, steak frites, and raspberry tart. We have been going to this place for several years and they maintain the quality. You feel in an authentic French restaurant. And Valerie is the best.

Not much to look at until you get inside and suddenly you're in the South of France without showing a passport. Like a real bistro, seating is tight but the vibe is good. Their escargot is garlicky and delicious. The standard menu items like the trout, the steak frites and the duck comfit are excellent. Recently I had the short rib special which was better than any I recall anyway. Decent portions and reasonable prices. Reservations are a good idea. There is a reason why this place is my go to.

I have been to this restaurant more times than I can count with my family and friends. I’m sad to say I will never be going back. Some of the staff and employees have a very disrespectful attitude and prioritize the people they know and care about only. I hate that the level of this restaurant has gone down. For my french community ( ne venez pas ici, ne gaspiller pas votre temps. )
