“FULL OF DELICIOUS SURPRISES ! It was hotter than it should be this time of year so I stopped in for some Italian ice at a place I heard was the bomb…but then immediately noticed that Italian ice is just the beginning here. They added an amazing bakery on the left side that has some super legit Italian bread, but also some beautiful Italian dessert items. I had to get a cannoli, which was amazing...but I decided to pick something else from the many desserts and saw one I didn't recognize and found out it was strawberry Tres leches cake. We get lots of tres leches cake in these parts but hadn't seen a strawberry one before...and wow. That thing rocked too. Anthony came out to talk and share plans for the site, which was very nice. An all around great experience. Gonna be back with the kiddos soon for sure (and without them sometimes, heh heh heh). Five stars !“

“Definitely worth checking out. Many of different kinds of flavors to chose from. Good prices and very friendly staff. The ice cream is Soo yummy. Lots of old retro memorabilia to look at and they have an arcade machine with over 1,900 games to pick from to play for a quarter a credit.“

He wanted a dipped waffle cone with sprinkles which they offered to make a special batch without peanut exposure. They also scoop his flavor choice of ice cream from the back to avoid cross contamination. These owners are the best! They also had 4 dairy free flavors that were AMAZING!!“

“Great location, friendly service and best of all Sweet Melissa's is super tasty. We got a little crazy and got a banana split with some of the biggest ice cream scoops you could imagine. All the toppings came with it- if we wanted them- and all for $12. Not bad! Leave the dessert at the restaurant and head over to this place for the better alternative.“

“We went for the Friday night open mic and had the best time! Owner Dan, along with the gals behind the counter - Melissa and Alexis - were absolutely wonderful. We didn't go to eat, but had the pita and green olive tapenade for a snack (delish!!). We will definitely return for a meal - and for the open mic again! Thank you!“

I had a banana split and it was huge and delicious. They even asked if I wanted any alterations to it. They had toys and games set out to play with as you enjoyed your treat. “The employees are always cheerful and welcoming but not in that annoying way! The store is always clean & neat unless you have the unfortunate timing of coming in behind a gang of slobby PEOPLE( I was gonna just say kids but often there's "adults" too) My favorite flavors are Euro Tart, Pineapple, Limeade, Raspberry & Key Lime. They are all light, tasty & refreshing! There's also something "clean" tasting about them. I live in Englewood but every time I have to go to North Port or Venice, you can always count on a "pit" stop at Peachwave if you're w/me! Pun intended!!“

“Came here for food an a treat. The only food they have is a hot dog but it's a good one. The different selection of ice cream treats is great, especially the one with the brownie. Nice selection and a step above the rest of the ice cream places. There is no inside seating but there's a covered outdoor seating which is perfectly acceptable.“
