What a wonderful place to stop in. While on vacation we always try and stop somewhere local & visit different culture places. This restaurant did not disappoint. We received great hospitality and service during our visit. Food came in large portions which was excellent for us. Overall 10/10

This place was highly recommended by friend of mine, as I came down today from Pa. And was hungry.
I ordered mofongo with chicharrón de pollo. The mofongo tasted really good, but was served cold ( room temperature ). I like my food hot. The chicken looked really good, but instead was really, really salty, a major minus.
I asked the server for oil and vinegar for the tiny salad that came with the food.
The caddy and oil vinegar bottles were disgustingly dirty, they have not been washed for months. Imagine the bacteria build up on these items. I told and showed the server the filthy condition of these items. If you can believe her answer was : Ohh it's only the outside that's dirty. Wow at that point I knew that I will never return here nor recommend this restaurant.
Sorry but if you don't care about your customers getting sick 🤢 you get this truthful review.
Happy to find this little gem. Got the Pernil Jibarito (Pork sandwich that uses fried plantain as the bread) with white rice and red beans, and it was GOOD - juicy Pernil and the best red beans I've had in this area hands down. Also had to try their Fritura platter (fried foods) and that was good to go, as well. Loved that their tostones (fried plantain) weren't greasy and were crispy, just right👍 The atmosphere was great - Dominican music playing - But the best part was the service; the young lady that served us was very attentive, had a great sense of humor and even though we were FULL, she got us a delicious slice of Flan and fresh Cafe con Leche, A+++ GRACIAS👊

Food was good, but for the price the portions were ridiculously small. You have 3 small convenience store ( Bodegas) in each direction of Mariner and less than 5 minutes from this place we're the food is not only cheaper, but the portions are huge compared to this place.

First time eating here. I had the red snapper with yellow rice, red beans and tostones. Very delicious. My husband had the ropa vieja with yellow rice red beans and sweet plantains, also good. My daughter and son-in-law had mofongo de pollo, chicharon de pollo, side salad, and a yaroa. We liked everything. The lemonade was a little watered down but good for me since I don't like it as tarte or too sweet. My little one had chicken strips and French fries, she didn't like it as much but my son-in-law at it. When we went the place was a bit busy. I don't think it took long for the food to come out. The server was super sweet and patient with us. I would definitely recommend this place.

I went today for the first time. I was looking for authentic dominican/puerto Rican food. I was extremely satisfied & happy with my choice. The food is extremely good. Angel was amazing with running down everything they had. Nice quaint spot just like I like it. I would absolutely go back to try other dishes 😋 For real authentic food go straight to Copacabana

If you want a good Cuban, this is not the place to go. Has to be the worst Cuban I've ever had. Took one bite and didn't swallow it. Not sure what kind of meat was on it but it was absolutely awful. Can't speak about anything else there but after that sandwich I'll eat somewhere else.

The food was amazing. I drove 40 mins for the Red snapper and it was amazing. Their mojo sauce for the platanos was fantastic.
