My friends and I have been reading on the local restaurant social media groups about how amazing Double Yummy is. With 4.6 stars on Yelp and 4.4 on my favorite mapping software, I figured it's probably average-to-good. We decided to give it a try. Our server was incredibly sweet and prompt, always checking on us and our water level. That said, the food was very mediocre. I had the Sweet and Sour Chicken, and it tasted like every other S&S chicken I've ever had. I know these restaurants all get their stuff from the same suppliers. So I basically expect the same mediocrity at every "chinese" restaurant. And that's what I got here. Mediocre. I was happy that it was served hot; extra points for that for sure. But it's still the same premade stuff as anywhere else. My friend had the chicken fried rice, and he said the chicken tasted like it was from a can. It looked like cream-colored uniformly shaped blobs. What's wild Is the number of glowing reviews on social media for Double Yummy. "Amazing" "Delicious" Literally people saying it's the best Chinese in all of Hernando county. I think everyone needs to travel a little more. The dumplings were pretty good. The server said the filling was made in house.

This place is so good! We came a while back and ordered the Sampler Platter, Egg Rolls and Chicken Chow Mein and it was delish!!; Went the other day..Beef Fried Rice and General Tso lunch special that comes with the Won Ton Soup and also an Egg Roll ...service was quick and the food was hot and delicious ..they also have the Crispy Noodles as well...love this place..my favorite!!! Nice and clean too....they are very nice too...

Picked up food for 4 folks in our group- plenty of meat in each dish, fresh crisp vegetables. Egg drop and wanton soup were delicious. Asked them to take a dish down a notch for spiciness, excellent. Plenty of food for each dish!

We shared a delicious meal of fried dumpling appetizer, Singapore mei fun, eggplant garlic sauce chicken and Mongolian beef. Each dish was delicious. The dumpling skins were thin with a delicate crispiness; the Singapore noodles had a lovely fresh curry flavor and large, succulent shrimp; the eggplant was tender and sweet; and the Mongolian beef had an aromatic red pepper flavor. Everything was fresh. The two young ladies who served us were delightful. This place should be much busier. I will eat here again when I return to visit family.

Great Chinese food is back in Spring Hill. Fresh crisp vegetables in all dishes and unlike all the takeout places the food here isn't overly salty. You can takeout but suggest eating there. Small and intimate with good service.
