Went there for the second time today. Had the beef sandwich the first time. Hot dogs and pizza puff today. Food is excellent and staff were very nice. I dont live too close to there but will make it a point to go there whenever im in Brooksville.

The hot dogs were substandard. Not served properly. Tough skin and hard to chew. That was no Chicago Dog I ever had. Had to wait for it too. Coney Island Hot Hogs is much better, and I suggest you go there. If in Tamp/St. Sete, then there is Mel's. I will not be going back.

My experience at The Hot Dog Shop was pleasant and overall a nice place to have lunch by yourself or with friends, plenty of tables with umbrellas over them for shade. They had a full chicago and New York style menu with a choice of veinna or sabrett or Nathan's Hot dogs . They also have the chicago beef sandwich which is a plus because most other hot dog stands won't have that. The curly French fries were hot and crispy with just the right amount of salt, I also tried the jumbo stuffed tater tots stuffed with bacon and cheese they were hot and crispy and tated amazing I suggest ordering some to compliment the rest of your order. The 2 hot dogs I had were veinna chicago and they did not disappoint at all they came with a generous portion of veggies on top and the hot dogs had just the right snap to them. I will definitely be back and will probably wash my car at the self serve there and then eat which makes it a perfect location. I recommend the hot dog shop as a good place with good food and pleasant experience to everyone. I will upload some pictures for everyone from my visit today wendsday May 14th . Ordered 5 chicago dogs and 2 cheese frys and I'm sad to report that it was expensive and below acceptable. The fries are dry, like they are double fried and the hotdogs are cold. I had eaten hear previously and it was good so I am going two stars instead of one.

Amazing dogs! Let me just start by saying Eric never disappoints! Dogs are Hott & condiments are evenly distributed thru-out the bun (which is shorter than the dog)!Score... My dog of choice is the Chili cheese dog just finished off 2 of those bad boys for lunch!, but let me tell you what The Chicago dog he has is Out of this world! All the different flavors from the pickle to the hot peppers on-top is a party in ur mouth! Word to the wise thou buy 2 or 3 cuz 1 just ain't enough!! These dogs are so good they leave you full but craving more more more! I go out of my way ; pass-by shit-ton of fast-food places on 19 just to make it for lunch ! New York Dog House in my opinion is well worth the drive & the $$....
