“This Island Root location started it all. from the first time we walked into the door, the good vibes washed over us and we felt accepted, relaxed, peaceful, sociable. cosmo has always made us feel good about coming in. the kavatenders and customers are all awesome too, so there's always someone to talk to or play a game with. but no matter what, you feel welcome and calm.. it's such a chill hangout with great drinks. Rose is a sweetheart!!”

“First time there today and sat outside where there was a DJ playing music and people dancing. Food was good. Really wanted to try the fish but was told the sauces couldn’t be made without wine (don’t drink). That was disappointing. Server wasn’t very attentive. We asked for more bread and didn’t get it until we were almost done. Overall, 8 out of 10. Will give it another shot soon and probably sit inside this time. Too many birds flying around the tables.”

“Absolutely the best service around, with great food and an even better atmosphere. I love coming here and bringing my baby boy—the staff treats me wonderfully and treats my son even better. He loves them, and they clearly love him right back. Service is impressively quick, making it perfect if you need to eat and go, but at the same time, you never feel rushed if you choose to sit and enjoy your meal. Hands down, one of the best places to dine.”

“I have been here few times and found the food to be fresh and the service excellent. I had the tikka masala and asked for spicy. It was and I liked it. Although I did need extra raita to cool it down a bit. Highly recommend this spot.”

“Great barbecue. My mom and I tried the spare ribs (the best), pulled pork, brisket, onion rings and the Brunswick stew special. They were all awesome. I don’t usually like battered onion rings but these were yummy. The owner was incredibly friendly. All in all an excellent experience and we have enough left over for another meal :)”

But the highlight of our day was when we wandered into this quaint little restaurant called Pastaio and had one of the best experiences I've had while in Florida 👌 the ambiance was amazing, the staff were awesome, the manager was delightful, and the food was outstanding!! I would recommend this restaurant as a MUST visit if you're in the area and looking for good Italian food that rivals what I'm used to in Jersey!”

The real standout was the diri djon djon: rich, earthy, and cooked perfectly, easily the star of the plate. The plantains were done right too a great complement to the meal. Overall, even with the griot being a little over, the flavors carried the dish and made it a solid, enjoyable experience.”

“The pupusa’s were OK though I ordered three of one kind, two of another two cheese and one Larocco and they put them all in one container very hot and they melted all over each other. It was a mess to eat. The cashier was very nice and they were even singing in the kitchen. I felt like I was in El Salvador.”
