Island Root has quickly become one of my favorite spots in the area. The vibe here is relaxed and welcoming, and the crowd is a mix of people from all walks of life. It’s rare to find a place where everyone can just be themselves without judgment, but this place nails it.

A big shoutout to Shawn, one of the bartenders here. He’s genuinely one of the friendliest, most positive people I’ve met. He's always greeting everyone with a high five or a smile...

I’ve been to many of Island Roots locations over the last 18-24 months. What I saw today blew me away. Lindsey (Kava Tender) took time to walk a customer to their car while there was heavy rain using her own umbrella and had a smile on her face while doing it. I’ve never seen that from any other employee. It shows me she genuinely cares about her customers. The world could use more kindness like this in it. Lindsey keep doing things like that.
