Nice menu, excellent coffee & desserts. Love the ice cream with cold brewed coffee, whipped cream & nuts! Nice atmosphere inside & out on Aviles Street. Open later in the evening than many downtown establishments.Parking: No parking on Aviles Street.Kid-friendliness: Assortment of kid-friendly entrees reasonably priced.

The food, drinks, atmosphere, and location are what dreams are made of. Shrimp and grits and the Chicken Bella were so delicious. They have a great drink menu, and the street is so quaint and quiet. Hands down, my favorite place in Saint. Aug.

Always a great spot for cocktails and dinner, especially during the Christmas season when they do their theme drinks.

Excellent food and drinks and above and beyond service! My partner and I went here for a rare date night away from our kids. We were impressed with the atmosphere, food, and service. We tried the cocktails Raising Cane and Pomegranate Martini. Both were delicious and perfectly balanced and chilled. We enjoyed a seasonal appetizer of strawberry balsamic Flatbread. For mains we shared the Chicken Bella and FT Burger. The burger was perfectly cooked medium rare and was juicy and flavorful. The fires were a great texture. I feel the star of the show was the Chicken Bella. The bed of mashed potatoes and creamy herb sauce were so tasty. Everything was smooth, flavorful, and creamy. The chicken was perfectly crusted and juicy. The greens used to garnish complimented the potatoes so well and the tomatoes on top brought everything together. We knew we had to try dessert. We opted for the creme Brulee at the recommendation of our fantastic server (Ciarah) and it was perfect. It had a light and fresh taste with the strawberry slices. Breaking the crust of sugar and biting into it mixed with the light fluffy custard was a wonderful experience. Everything tasted so good.We will definitely be returning on the rare occasion we get a babysitter. Although notably you can definitely bring kids here. They have a kids menu and we saw other families with children while we were dining. The atmosphere here was very calm and moody. We were there for about 2.5 hours taking our time and enjoying everything. We never felt rushed and really enjoyed ourselves.Definitely don't skip out on the Forgotten Tonic. We made reservations to be safe.

Forbidden Tonic provided an exceptional evening filled with delectable cocktails and tantalizing food. Chris, the bartender, elevated our experience with his superb mixology skills and warm hospitality. Each cocktail was expertly crafted, bursting with flavor and creativity. The menu boasted a delightful array of dishes, each a culinary masterpiece. From start to finish, our experience at Forbidden Tonic was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the fantastic cocktails, delicious food, and Chris's impeccable service.NB - Ok I wrote this with chat GPT. But I stand by it. Food and cocktails were freaking great and Chris is a legend.

We called to make a reservation, but the hostess didn't write it down. Luckily, we didn't have to wait too much. The food was great. We tried the bruschetta, the fish sandwich, and sweet potatoes hash.

It's hard to be impartial dealing with numerous #restaurants, but in #staugustine, this is my favorite hidden spot. The food is delicious, the drinks spot on with a large selection of spirits, and it is priced reasonably. #staug art district.Forgotten Tonic / Tridence #Jacksonville / 904 Food & Drink Guide (Northeast Florida)

Drink - Forgotten tonic was pretty good, but I preferred the So Fetch.Tried the Pedro, but it was way too sweet. Our server ended up taking it off the bill.Fresh catch (I believe mahi mahi) on the “special” salad with peas was perfectly cooked, but could’ve used more salt or blackened seasoning.Overall, great experience and atmosphere for our anniversary. Will go back.

Tucked away on Aviles Street lies the Forgotten Tonic. For me it’s like a secret getaway each time we visit. We take our two seats at the bar and are quickly greeted by one of the most prestigious bartenders I have ever had. His name is Johnny. He’s a true treasure and FT is lucky to have him! He takes his time, meticulous, a warm familiar face that happily greets us.He creates expertly crafted cocktails that are sure to please even the pickiest of tastebuds. He is thorough, never misses a beat and always has a smile on his face. Even in the thick of the weeds he never falters, never appears fazed by the endless crowd of people surrounding the bar.Last night in particular we were casually sharing that we had eaten nearby for our anniversary. Shortly thereafter, a slice of delicious chocolate cake with a chocolate crust was presented with a sparkler on top indicating one of celebration. We felt like royalty!Top notch customer service would be an understatement. We were also fortunate enough to have a delicious bourbon cocktail made that he mentioned he’d won a contest for (understandably so, it was Devine!).Needless to say, I would highly recommend Forgotten Tonic. If you’re a cocktail enthusiast like myself, you will not leave disappointed!
