They seem to have new staff that are very friendly, knowledgeable and just overall helpful.

Sabrina is the best Barista ever! OMG did she make my experience at establishment so special. She made the coffee taste better than what it really was because her personality was so exceptional and bright. I'm in love with my barista 😆 LOL! To say the least I now have two coffee shops and I cannot wait to come back to in St Augustine and this is the first one! Thank you Sabrina!

My friend and I were visiting St Augustine were visiting for her birthday. Our last day we went to Crucial Coffee before we hit the road. Sabrina helped us and she is AMAZING!!! 💫 💫💫💫💫💫💫💫

Charming place, but when served it seemed like the worker did not want to be there, and didn’t really greet us. The drinks were very underwhelming and bitter, one drink was not sweet enough and the other was so bitter that we couldn’t finish half of it. We were very disappointed, this was the coffee shop we were most excited to visit while in St.Augustine.

One of the worst coffee shops I've ever been to. My wife ordered a mocha frappe-like drink and they gave her an iced espresso with enough caffeine to kill a horse. She was sick for hours after taking just two gulps from it. The coffee was bitter and nasty and I have serious reservations about the cleanliness of the place.

The worst experience at St. Augustine. We ordered three drinks, the guy behind the counter sighed and said OH MY GOD when we placed the order. Either he did not want to take our order or he is indifferent to people of color.
My tea was so bitter that I had to add four packs of sugar to tolerate half of it. The coffee was sub-par. My piece of advice, avoid this place if you are looking for a friendly atmosphere.

Great beverage selection, great service. A little alcohol in your morning caffeine, no problem.
This place has the best smoothies I’ve ever tasted!

As a college student in St. Augustine, I’ve been to a lot of coffee shops, but Chloe at Crucial Coffee is the reason I keep coming back. She’s one of the kindest and most genuine baristas I’ve ever met. From the first time I walked in, she made me feel welcome, remembered my name and order, and always brings such good energy no matter how busy
You can tell she really cares about the people who come in, and that kind of attention makes a big difference, especially when you’re juggling school and just need a place to breathe for a bit.
The coffee is excellent too. It’s smooth, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. But honestly, it’s Chloe who makes Crucial feel special. She’s the reason it’s become my favorite spot in town.

One of the Best Coffee Shops in Saint Augustine
I stopped by Crucial Coffee shop while walking around downtown St. Augustine, and I’m so glad I did. This place has quickly become one of my favorite coffee spots in town. The vibe is super cozy and inviting, and it’s tucked right next to the fort in a really cool historic blacksmith shop —which makes the experience even better.
The coffee and lattes are seriously good and were told they use all organic beans. You can tell they care about their craft.
They also have some great tea options and pastries, even sangrias and mimosas. The outdoor seating is perfect if you want to relax and enjoy the St. Augustine atmosphere. The staff was super friendly and helpful, which makes a big difference.
Whether you’re a local or just visiting, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out. It’s got that mix of great coffee, friendly service, and a unique location that makes it stand out from other coffee shops in the area.
I come to the shop regularly specifically for Chloe to make my coffee. She is so warm and friendly that it makes my day better.
Coffee was okay but the guy who made the coffee wasn’t very friendly
