We went to this place in the evening as it was a short walk from our B&B and we were hungry after a day of travel. The little garden is delightful, and we enjoyed sitting in it. The place was not busy and we ordered right away. The food was OK. We have had Indian in many places. The samosa was flaky and hot. Seasoned well. The veg curry was mediocre (frozen peas and carrot mix, potato chunks in curry sauce-very soupy) and came with bread OR rice. We got the naan. It was like the naan you get from CostCo. The woman who served us was very kind and attentive.
We found this restaurant in HappyCow and loved it. The owner is extremely friendly and they have many many vegan options. The patio area is also very relaxing.
It's basically a mom and pop food stand with ample outdoor seating. There is a clearly marked vegan section on the menu and the owner who took our order was very helpful at explaining the options. We had the veg Biryani and Veg Curry roti. During our meal we were introduced to the co-owner who cooked our meal (his wife) so we got a chance to tell her how excellent the food was. It has beautiful serene atmosphere and attentive service.
Amazing food made by genuinely good people and served in a peacefull garden setting, perfect! ? ? ?

We went there at 3:21 pm and the place is saying it's closed. But I do not see this mentioned in Google. We came all the way there to see that this place is closed.

So good!! We ordered the lamb biryani, samosa, paneer curry and naan and the flavors.. my goodness! So good! They used fresh herbs from their own garden and they are the nicest people. If you’re in st Augustine and love Indian food, you have to stop here! I would have taken a picture.. but we ate it all! Ha!

Amongst all of the beer, seafood, and ice cream in the area we have this little Indian place that's a little bit of a hidden gem. We ordered the bowl with rice and tikka masala, along with mango lassi, and it was so delicious. The owner's smile as my girlfriend took a sip was awesome to see. He was happy to see that he made us happy. He also noticed that we were a bit unsure about the samosa so he took a moment to show us how to eat it as well, which was a nice touch. Would recommend!

The Gourmet Garden is a beautiful & tranquil pet friendly Indian restaurant located on Cuna street in Downtown
Saint Augustine. It is few steps away from the river. It has all garden and outdoor seating. The food is delicious and the service is amazing.
The whole dining experience at this restaurant was very pleasant. So pleasant that I decided to visit and dine there again the very next day.
I highly recommend this place to all the pet owners, families with kids, tourists and to the local equally. This is a must visit place. The zen feeling you get by spending in their garden setting is priceless.

Great food and home-like service and outdoor atmosphere. Please - if you choose to eat here, make sure it’s with the right expectations. This is a small operation and is more like going to someone’s garden to eat than eating at a bustling traditional restaurant with a lot of staff. It may take some time to get your food, but it will be worth it. The owner, as we understood, does this as a sort of passion project and is not in it to serve the masses or to have it be highly profitable. He cares about what he does and was very open to taking time to talk to us, to share experiences about India, and to share mindful wisdom. He was the only one working when we were there, so he may not always have the same time to take with each guest, but I’m certain he really aims to make the experience good - even if the service or speed doesn’t match what we are all typically used to expecting in more traditional environments. Slow down for a minute and give this place a try! Don’t give it a try if you are rushed, expecting a server to check on you every couple minutes, or if you are super picky in need of extensive options or accommodations. If that’s your idea of dining, find an Applebees or something nearby. P.S. public restrooms are near Bear Mountain Outfitters on Hypolita street just a couple hundred feet away.

A hidden gem. It’s a very cute, simple little garden eatery. The food quality was awesome. We ordered the lamb vindaloo and asked for it to be spicy so the cook came out with a spoon for us to try before serving. He custom made the spice level for us which was fabulous service. We also had Dal Tadka, Naan and they brought us some chicken to try which was all very yummy. Highly recommend if you are after a flavourful, authentic little meal. Very nice atmosphere at night.

One of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had in recent times. The food quality was poor, and the service left much to be desired. We ordered biryani, but the rice was undercooked and the taste, quantity, and price were all below expectations. The roti was similarly unsatisfactory.
Additionally, the service was lacking. The staff member attending to us was irritable and impatient, though he was polite and attentive to the American customers next to us. It's disheartening that he, being Indian, did not extend the same respect to fellow Indians.
I don't believe this place deserves its 4+ star rating. I’ve given one star only because zero stars isn't an option. Unfortunately, the quality of the food, service, ambiance, and facilities (no hand wash available) were all subpar. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant if possible.
