There's not many vegan options in the Historic District in St Augustine (my bf and I looked and looked). But this little Indian restaurant has them! We had the Veg Biryani (which is a mixed riced dish, order no meat) and Veg Curry (order no meat and with white rice; also comes with a Samosa). Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. The staff were very friendly.

Tried chicken biryani. Food prepared from Authentic Indian masala. No artificial colors and additives... Tastes like homemade food.

We stopped by last night after the @magichideaway show for a quick bite to check out the NEW Indian Restaurant, @gourmet_garden in historic St. Augustine, Florida! We talked to the humble owners, they filled a need of indian food in the heart of historic St. Augustine. The menu includes Curry bowls, Tikka Masala, Samosa, with rice, Naan, and Roti, and specials like Veg or Chicken Biriyani, and Lamb Curry. Indian desserts + Mango Lassi and Indian Chai are also served here. So stop in to try the indian food when you @visitsta! Food does not taste great and served in paper containers.

Loved the outdoor ambiance. The specials were very large portions. A couple owns/works it and came up to us after the rush to check in and make sure all was good very friendly. Highly recommend!

If you love Indian Food, Please avoid this place and owner has to change his attitude towards customers. Behaves like he is giving free food and taking customers as granted.

As authentic as it gets. Fresh spices that you can smell. Portions are on smaller side so don’t expect to be able to share. Wait times can be longer depending on when u visit but they try hard to keep up. Ambience is amazing, right across the street from the fort and wonderful outdoor seating area.

Visited this restaurant today with my friends today. We have asked for vegetarian options and they gave veg bowl with paneer tikka, roti and samosa. They made paneer in the non vegetarian gravy and served. We observed non vegetarian prices after eating and complained same. Cashier checked and said sorry and this is first time it happened and not sure the reason. It was very clear they did not had veg curry left for the day but they saw business since we were more than 10-12 people and managed with non veg gravy thinking we will not identify. This is really bad experience and I recommend never visit this restaurant. I think this restaurant needs inspection to check if they follow all the standards needed to run the hotel business in USA.

Wrost experience that I ever had, went with friends group of 15+ people for Dinner, the hotel Cashier and service guy mixed Non-veg (chicken) into panner tikka gravy & served, being a vegetarian this was unacceptable, food quality was not good at all, Samosa was air fried badly, Served Chapati in the name of Roti.Overall experience was highly disappointing, Not recommended for Vegetarians.Vegetarian options: Very poor and cheating customers. In the name of vegetarian options

Food was delicious and hot! Service was extremely friendly and quick. Sitting area is clean/nice and one of the only places we found that didn't have super loud music blaring. Def would recommend and will come back when in town!

The food is pretty good, flavorful and rich. Additionally, the service is very nice and the workers made conversation with us. Would go again!

We had a great experience here today. The outside setting is very nice, the food was delicious and the owner went above and beyond to make sure my kids had a great lunch.

Order a takeout, packaging was bad, it spilled all over the items, also over charged for an unordered Chai. The taste was decent but the person at the counter rushed to pay the bill. Not a good experience overall. Disappointed.

Incredible Indian restaurant! The decor alone is worth a trip. They have their dining area decorated beautifully - as if you're eating inside a garden. The food is phenomenal. Everything they make is delicious, with the most authentic flavors you are going to find anywhere in town for Indian food. The husband and wife team are lovely people who made the experience special!
