A pleasant surprise. We wandered into this beautiful property in a historic St. Augustine home. So for starters, this was a blind find. It's new and we hadn't heard about it yet. We happened to be hungry. So we started with the bread service and a crisp Laurent Perrier Rose. The pictures are of the delicious dishes we tried. We started with a rich and flavorful fois gras followed by the classic cassoulet. We finished with the pot de crème along with the unique and beautiful L'Orange. Overall, there was a wonderful vibe as we sat in the court yard patio. The food was decadent, like good French food should be! I think this is a wonderful addition to the St. Augustine Food scene. Give it a try! There is something for everyone. I will be back to pair a big bold French wine with the steak. Overall 4.5/5.

Fantastic food and service. Everyone loved each of their dishes. While Preserved was one of our favs, La Nouvelle is a step up. Hands down our new favorite in town.

Wonderful!!! Great service from Jessie!!!! He was very personable and did a great job with the menu and made our dinner a joy! Jordan was also a plus for his conversation. The menu is classic with interesting twists. The Duck Terrine was delicious and a big portion, the Escargot could not have been better, the Quiche was rich and flavorful with a delicate puff pastry crust. They have probably one of the top wine lists in Florida. Overall, a bit pricey but actually a real value for this class of restaurant. I will certainly return asap! My rating would have been five stars, but we were asked to vacate the table before we were done because they had another reservation. We were there over two hours, they did offer to move us and buy dessert, and we were pretty much done. I had just ordered a bottle of wine and we were still eating our entree so it was awkward at best, but I will certainly recommend them and be back!

We were disappointed in the food - it arrived after a long wait, and was cold. I ordered the hanger steak with frites, but the potatoes were not prepared as traditional frites, with 2 separate cooks, one to cook the inside and the second to crisp. Instead, they were thin french fries that were cold and limp. I enjoyed a glass of wine with dinner, and wanted a second glass to drink with my meal. I waited so long for the meal that I had finished the glass before my food arrived. However, our server never checked back with us after serving the meal. We asked for a dessert menu, and waited 20 minutes for the server to take our order. Finally, we ordered our desserts, but waited 25 minutes for it to be served. When I commented that we had waited a long time, our server apologized, and said she was going to speak with the manager. The manager came by and told us that the reason we had poor service was due to a large table they were serving on the porch (we overheard that they were members of the DAR, needing special attention). Finally, both the manager and the server's child were present, and were successfully demanding the mothers' attention, despite there being another adult caring for the child in both cases. In fact, both children were served their food much more quickly than we were.

We had the most wonderful couples Valentine's dinner at La Nouvelle! We ordered every appetizer on the menu and passed our plates. I would order every single item again BUT my favorites were the beet terrine & burgundy escargots. Dinner was somehow even better than the starters. So many incredible flavors; Michael Lugo and his team have done such a beautiful job curating not only the food menu but also the wine list (which is spectacular). Don't skip dessert! Paris-Brest and L'orange are not only beautiful but also so delicious! We can't wait to go back and dine al fresco.

Each course was the best I’ve had. The French Onion soup was the best I can remember. The duck with braised grapes (surprisingly pleasant counterpoint to the warm savory flavor of the duck and duck fat potatoes) and duck fat potatoes combined for a spectacularly memorable dining experience. The Orange dessert is a masterpiece. To describe the dessert chef as a wizard is a gross understatement. No matter what else you do in your life, this must be added to your bucket list.

Wonderful place and long-needed in St Augustine. We've been watching eagerly watching the site since it was announced, and finally got to eat there last week. And we came vs I again just a few days later - it's that kind of place. A really nice but at the same time comfortable neighborhood French restaurant with all the French comfort foods. Service is wonderful, friendly but professional and competent, so you're in good hands! And to top it off, they serve through, 11-9:00 pm with the same menu all day (some specials at night). So far, we've had the basic French lunch faves...amazing croque monsieur, great duck rillettes, wonderful baguettes, etc. All excellent with great ingredients. They also have a truly fine wine list, many of them available by the glass. And of course, you have to end with a pot de crème or some other perfect French dessert...

Visiting St Augustine for first time and feel very lucky to have discovered this wonderful restaurant-classic French with a dash "moderne" Amelia our "ambassador/server" was friendly, informed, fun, and simply put just GREAT! Being a tourist own of sorts, it can be a real slog dealing with other tourists(not a hater) and the parking derby-not fun. Happily this restaurant has its own \-no small plus. We had escargot, Niçoise salad, Croque monsieur, onion soup (I coveted my neighbor's soup, not his wife) and finished with THREE Paris breasts-my wife ate two. Apparently you may wish to hide this review from children. Also the cordial manager Paul, made it his business to see how our meal was. Do not miss this place when visiting!

Beautiful outdoor dining area and attractive interior dining room with great food. Our group of 6 all enjoyed their meals. My wife had a beautifully presented special, Coquilles St.-Jacque. It came with two large shells sealed with pastry that each contained three perfectly cooked scallops. I had a wonderful Bronzino, three strips of fish nestled in a wonderful and tasty broth. The highlight for me was my Lavendar Creme Brulee served with madeleines (with a little white chocolate) and fresh berries. Super rich and creamy, this was one of the best Creme Brulees I've ever had.Outstanding and attentive service, it is hard to believe they've only been open 5 weeks. Great time had by all

We enjoyed our dinner outside on their patio very much. The fare was classic French bistro prepared at high level. The wine list was extensive with French wines and our server was quite knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Best new restaurant I’ve tried in the area for years. Fantastic food and very attentive service. The escargot were delicious. Loved the bread service. Salad was fantastic. Main courses were flawless. Dessert was beautifully presented and delicious. On site parking is a huge bonus. Can’t wait to go again.

La Nouvelle is definitely Oo La La!! I cannot say enough good things about this fantastic restaurant in St. Augustine. This classic French restaurant, including a fully French wine list, provides an excellent dining experience from service and presentation, to all expertly created dishes. There are eight tables indoors, and probably another eight on the wraparound covered porch, as well as several more in a lovely garden patio area with tenting. Amongst our dining group, we sampled the duck confit, filet aux poivre, the hanger steak, and the crab cakes. Everyone thought they had ordered the best dish and enjoyed sampling the others. Do not miss the desserts, especially the orange chocolate creation that honors the orange grove that was originally located on the property. This restaurant has its own dedicated parking lot, which is a big plus for dining in St.Augustine. Definitely make a reservation and you will not be disappointed! Bon appétit!

Recommended dishes: French Onion Soup, Escargot, Duck Breast, Crab Cake

Booked our silver anniversary with our family in this fine dining restaurant. We enjoyed the great experience of the bed and breakfast feel as the place is set up in the corner lot with great Victorian architecture details. French style restaurant with a variety of entrees to order. We started with baguettes as starters and enjoyed entrees like Madame Sandwich, Duck Confit, Steak Frites, Filet aux Poivres and Poulet Roti (good portion). Desserts did not disappoint either - pot de Crème, Strawberry Eclair, Paris Brest and L,Orange -which is probably most unique and best presentation of all of them.
