O'Steen's Restaurant is a popular spot serving up fresh and lightly seasoned seafood. The fried shrimp, scallops, and shrimps are all done wonderfully, and the clam chowder is tomato-based. Favorites include the fried shrimp, oysters, and hush puppies, which can be enjoyed with sides like coleslaw and pickled cucumbers. The shrimp salad is a popular take-out option. The batter on the fried shrimp is very light but just enough to be very tasty. The sauces were exceptional and the showstealer was the crab cake, with LOTS of crab meat. The potato salad and mashed were also very good. The service was perfect as the staff/managers were very nice. O'Steen's is a well-run organized restaurant, a great family restaurant. If you love breaded shrimp you’ll enjoy this place. Exceptional food and service. Cash only. Be prepared to wait, but it is always worth it. The minorcan clam chowder stands out.
