I've eaten here since the place opened. The last few months I've noticed a change for the bad. The service isn't great. Getting a to go order you pay an up charge for smaller portions and cold food is hot..hot food is cold. Owners - please fix this. Your reviews on google are poor for the last few months too. What's going on? You're like the only seafood place left that's good in town.
This is not the same Schooners that we've enjoyed for many years into the past. Food quality and freshness now have slipped, service is insensitve, disrespectful and slow, and much to our surprise the restaurant was half empty. Our dishes took 30 minutes to the table, the food was lukewarm and the taste was odd. We left most of it without eating. The manager said they were busy!? The food was excellent. The staff is very friendly and did a great job. Definitely a must visit restaurant.
