Joe was anazing and also the worst person I’ve ever met. I loved every second. I wanna grab his pony tail and I appreciate them severing me at the last minute. Namaste.

A very busy bar where the locals get apparently big pours of cheap booze, but don't eat here -- absolutely AWFUL food, and ridiculously slow service.

Oldest bar in Saint Augustine, lots of history, interesting patrons and reasonable drink prices!

My visit to St. George Tavern in St. Augustine was unfortunately a letdown. Walking in, I was immediately hit with a strong odor reminiscent of the Salty Spitoon from SpongeBob. It was not the most welcoming scent, to say the least. I went with a classic patty melt, I was hoping for a satisfying meal. However, what arrived at my table was far from appetizing. The bread was soaked in grease, making it wet and uneatable. To add the icing on the cake, the bartender was smoking Marlboro reds behind the bar. Overall, my experience at St. George Tavern was not it. From the unpleasant smell to the rough food and atmosphere, I cannot recommend this place to others looking for a pleasant dining experience in St. Augustine.

This old style tavern is a must whenever we are in St Augustine. One of the best burgers around. A good selection of drinks and bar food at a reasonable price.

A tense atmosphere and racist vibe make it seem like they forget that they are in a tourist area.

Great neighborhood bar.

The St. George Tavern is a grungy bar where your choice is a surprisingly good lunch or a day at the bar drinking your cares away. We chose the former. Our club sandwich was piled high with turkey, bacon, ham and cheese. Our bratwurst, slathered in a scrumptious mustard sauce, was the star. They seem to do a brisk take-out business and everything we saw being packed for delivery looked great.

Good dive bar if you know what you want. No drink menu, server gave weird energy, questioned me when I questioned if there was a drink menu and seemed rude when I told her we’d share a drink felt pressured to purchase my own. Cheese was the only good part. Tables are dirty.

Best bar in downtown St. Augustine. Guinness on tap and the whiskey is served basically in doubles. Next time I'll get in earlier to try the burgers. Also very well priced, which is hard to find these days! Definitely the coolest dive bar in St. Augustine.

One of few places on St Georges St that stays open late. Ice cold beer.
