Such a cute, youthful bar with a view of the fort.

We went this past weekend to celebrate my friends birthday. Everything was fine until the end of the night. They came upstairs at 1am to let us know they would be shutting the pool room down in 30 mins. I had put money in the jukebox to play songs and our set of songs were coming up in rotation. About 15 mins later (1:15pm) the jukebox was turned off. I asked the other bouncer if he could turn it back on which he did. Xavier the other bouncer came up there so rude and said gruffly “I turned it off for a reason” I told him he was being an asshole for no reason as our songs were next to be played. He was arguing with me saying there’s 50 songs to be played and they weren’t ours. I had been going up to the jukebox to see what were the next 5 songs to be played & know for a fact purse were the next 5. He told us we needed to leave and was acting like the money I put in the jukebox wasn’t a big deal. He asked me how much I spent and kept reaching into his pockets to give me my money and I called his bluff and he proceeded to kick us out. We got into a back and forth argument with him because of his demeanor and how rude he was to us. I kept asking him for his name and he kept being a jerk saying “security”. I asked another bouncer what his name was and they told me Xavier. Idk if that was his true name but he definitely needs to be coached on how to talk to people in a more professional manner. I didn’t know such a big deal would be made by the jukebox police. The other bouncer was trying to be accommodating and he was so rude to him as well. We spent good amount of money here only to be treated like trash in the street. First and last time visiting.

Paid money for the jukebox upstairs waited for a1/2 hour for our music to be played the jukebox was paused at 1:20pm. I told security my song was next to play and he turned it back on another security guard by the name of Xavier came up and said he turned it off for a reason and we needed to leave due to it closing in 40 mins. He was completely unprofessional and rude. We asked him for his name and he responded “security”. We spent good money at this establishment only for Xavier to act like he owned the place. He acted like my $7 I spent in the jukebox was no big deal and was reaching into his pockets to refund me my money acting l like I was overreacting about a refund. He ended up telling me to have a good night after I asked him to pay up since he was acting like it wasn’t a big deal after calling his bluff. All the bouncers stormed us and pushed us out of the establishment. This is the second time coming to this establishment and not hearing our music. Our song was literally the next song to be played and he was saying 50 songs were next to be played and we were waiting for our turn which was next. He was so rude and unprofessional. The other guy up there tried to turn back on the jukebox and be accommodating and Xavier came up there rudely saying he turned it off for a reason. I recommend you not to put money on the jukebox and not to spend your money to be treated this way. We will never come back here again. This place sucks!

By far, the best bar in Saint Augustine. Cheapest drinks, fun bartenders. Jose is the man.

VOMIT. Walked in the bathroom and was hit with the smell of VOMIT. Couldn’t see any, but the floor looked like it needed a mop. VOMIT.

We were able to get in because my daughter forgot her ID at the rental home, and it cost too much to park to leave to go and get it. This place is always very crowded, but I'm not sure why since the rest of us decided to go elsewhere when my daughter couldn't get in.

Denied one of us due to a New Jersey ID even though all over-age. Even with a cop confirming the ID would still not let us in. Scared to lose license over people who were of age.

Great lunch spot to stroll through or late night hang

I wouldn’t take a free bottle of water from this trash hole of a place.

Horrible place!! Extremely rude bartender!! We were in St. Augustine, visiting friends for New Years. We walked in and politely asked the bartender if he could play some music and he immediately kicked us out. Security was even questioning why we were asked to leave but told us he couldn’t go against the bartender. From the other reviews I’ve read, this is not an isolated incident. May want to consider hiring better bartenders and staff! Would not recommend this place and will definitely be spreading the word!

We went to White Lion last night with a group of 13 and will be the last time any of us ever go there! When we walked in there were not many other customers in the bar and there was no music playing. My wife asked the bartender if he could turn music on. He immediately got angry and said he wasn’t serving any of us and we had to leave. As we were walking out, security could not believe what just happened and told us he couldn’t go against the bartender and we would have to leave, which we all did. Bartender was extremely rude! Based on previous reviews, we aren’t the only ones that feel this way!

Truly one of the most bizarre and inappropriate experiences with a bouncer I’ve ever had. What started as a reasonable request from a bouncer (telling one of our group members to not go over there) immediately turned to him dragging a hundred pound girl towards the floor by her wrists so hard that she had fingernail indentations in her skin. Any attempt from us to de-escalate the situation was a lost cause, and we were literally dragged out of the bar, accused of trying to start a physical fight with the bouncer, and screamed at the whole way out. We were all women much smaller than this man. I understand this is sometimes necessary in bar settings when people are intoxicated and noncompliant, but we had all just started on our first drink and were sober and reasonably calm given the situation. It was really sort of frightening to see this level of belligerence, aggression, and inability to self-regulate emotions from someone who is meant to keep people safe. Do better.
