A "seafood boil" or "clam bake" experience, where diners can participate in cracking open shellfish, peeling shrimp, and enjoying a communal feast.

Amazing place. Amazing owner. Not only a restaurant but also a community hub serving the residents of South St Pete.

Very disappointed, rice and cabbage wasn't done , ribs tough. Been there years ago and it was great, don't know what changed.

Amazing human.... he does so much for the community. It goes far beyond just a restaurant.

Appeared as highly rated soul food eatery. Surprisingly, the place was awful. The food was awful, as well. The service was lacking. The place reeked of gasoline. I ordered the fried chicken dinner. The meat was not fully cooked.

Atwaters is our go-to restaurant, the food is amazing and we're always treated like family. my husband dropped his wallet inside and Mr. Atwater found us outside to return it to us!!

Had a terrible experience! Sunday the only sides were greens, beans and plain white rice which is not a side. The greens were flavorful but way to salty. I did not eat them. Chicken was supposed to be fried but it had no batter and it tasted like it was fried in fish grease. I wanted to leave as soon as I walked in but since we drove 20 minutes to try it I gave in. Never again

A little disappointing, for a Turkey wing dinner i was charged 15 dollars!? Everything was dry accept the green's. There were 4 small turkey bones, dry white rice , dry mac and cheese and greens oh and a small piece of dry cornbread. Im all about supporting black businesses but For 15 dollars i expect better.
