First things first, there were no tables and it was take-out only. I didn't know that going in, but we made it work and ate on the hood of the car in the parking lot on a beautiful evening.
The food was great. I got the ribs and chicken, mac and cheese, and yams. Everything was at least pretty good, but THIS CHICKEN is the star. Big chunks of bone in dark meat chicken, beautiful moist interior, browned and smoked on the outside, and smothered in a tangy but not too sweet sauce. The $5 chicken box is no joke the best $5 I've spent in years. And they had orange Faygo in the cooler.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place! The food is absolutely amazing. The sides are everything! Collard greens, mac n cheese, baked beans, crab salad.... just wow. We also had the ribs, chopped beef and chicken but the sides are the star of the show. Make sure you get the banana pudding too! Tell them Tampa sent you!!! :)

Cute hole in the wall mom and pop type shop. Known for their $5 chopped chicken. BBQ sauce has a mustard base. Good food. They sell cups of Kool-Aid which is so nostalgic and tasty. They also have a nice Oreo cheesecake that’s more mousse than cheesecake.

Visiting Saint Petersburg for the weekend went to Big C’s BBQ I’m from Naples Florida. By far the best barbecue that I’ve ever had. The staff was amazing friendly down to earth and got to meet the owner. What an awesome person. He’s a blessing to this community.
