This place is amazing and should be at the top of everyones lists. It is small, 5 tables and a few seats at the bar and it is perfect. The staff is attentive and so friendly. The menu is small with a few specials. The Chef makes magic out of the kitchen. We had a nice bottle of Spanish Red and two apps, that were both amazing. For the mains my wife had steak and I had the snapper special and we split a bread pudding to finish it off. Honestly this is one of the top places I have been in the Tampa Bay area.

Everything about this restaurant is amazing. From the attentive service, the intimate setting, the skilled chef, and of course the incredible foods, it is an all around exceptional experience. The duck was certainly a standout dish, but then again so were all of them. Even the basic side dishes like potatoes and green beans were elevated and cooked to perfection. I would gladly come back here for a special occasion because I know it’s a good use of my money. Other restaurants don’t do it like Calida does. Worth every penny!

We went here for a date night and we LOVED it! The food was amazingly fresh and staff were super kind and attentive. All the wine was imported and unique. The beer was easy to drink but unique also. We had the Crudo appetizer and the fish was fresh and so light. For our meal we had the duck, which was savory and flavorful! It was not oily at all. The chicken chow noodles were so tender. The special side was green beans with prosciutto and lemon. Green beans were crisp, salty, with a hint of citrus. Not a single item had anything negative. You can tell the chef puts a lot of care into the menu. Its a smaller menu and I like that. They can focus on technique and quality of ingredients. It feels so intimate and special there. We finished with a small dessert board and espresso. 10/10. The best part is that we had all that food and walked out feeling totally fine and not miserable. We felt comfortably full. We will definitely be back.

Calida is a small, thoughtfully run restaurant with an inviting atmosphere and a clear attention to detail. Dayna is warm and attentive, creating a sense of ease from the moment you arrive. Her hospitality sets the tone for the evening and enhances the overall experience.

Ian’s cooking is exceptional—each dish is well-executed, balanced, and showcases both creativity and precision. The menu is focused, allowing the quality of ingredients and technique to come through clearly.

This is the kind of place that rewards a slower, more intentional dining experience. Highly recommended for those who appreciate excellent food in a relaxed, intimate setting.

So listen up. They had this black risotto and scallops that was so damn good. I would blend this stuff up in a food processor and drink it with a straw. So. Damn. GOOD.

What a wonderful experience! Celebrated our 15 year anniversary with an amazing dinner at Calida. The ambiance was so cool, and every bite of food was mouth watering. The staff was so hospitable -- they've created a real gem and totally nailed every detail. Get your reservation booked!

We had our anniversary dinner at Calida last night and it was perfection! Friendly service, quaint and cozy atmosphere, and the food was sooo good. We had lamb tartare with a quail egg, the shatta shrimp, and branzino. My husband said it may have been his best dining experience ever. Loved it all and can’t wait to return!

Quite literally one of the best food experiences I have ever had and I am married to a very talented chef. The food was amazing, every bite was perfection. The service was outstanding! The atmosphere was inviting and warm. We absolutely loved it and cannot wait to go back.
