This place is no Ceviche unfortunately. Bad music, bad service, bad vibes, rude door chica, bad everything. Why are you charging a cover for a lame DJ that comes on at 1am? Unfortunately it’s the only remotely Latin place so they can get away with it.

Cante is definitely a vibe. It feels like you're in a cozy basement. I love the live Latin music on Friday night and Saturday night. The bartenders are really nice and make good drinks.

DONT STAY HERE!!! Smells horrible, dirty, free Wi-Fi doesn’t work, room is gross, old, musty and bed isn’t comfortable, bedding old. Front door was propped open with a garbage can at night, desk staff were not friendly. When we got here, we went to our room and all the other room doors were opened and windows were opened at it was so very hot and musty. I’ve never Written a review in my life, only doing this to help others.

I've only been to El Cante at night for some Latin dancing! It's so fun and non judgmental. I don't know how to Latin dance but people are so friendly to show you how. The bar service is great too. Cover is usually $10 on the weekends, but for some live Latin music, you can't beat it. Best place to come for a girls night or a romantic dance date night out!

Music and the talent were great. The bartender was confused on the drinks we wanted and how to prioritize customers. This was before the place had more than 6 people in it. My friend felt ignored for 20 minutes waiting for her first drink. There is a cover charge of $10. Around 11 it started to get packed, hot, and music was blaring. My ears were still ringing the next day but we had fun!

Old hotel with character. Unfortunately room had a very musty smell. No other rooms available to stay in. Might be because we booked the Booking.com. They front desk stated we needed to call them if we wanted to check out and get a refund. Will never use booking.com again. Sink nozzle sprays everywhere which may be why the room smells.

We stayed one night for a concert event, perfect location in walking distance to restaurants, clubs, waterfront and venue. Clean room and comfortable bed. We’d stay here again for sure when we’re back in the area.
