My girlfriend and I visited for her birthday dinner this week. The ambiance was fantastic. Beautiful chandeliers, delicate glassware, good music and proper lighting set the mood for a a great date. Alana was our server and she was all class. She gave great recommendations for food and wine while going the extra mile to make our time special. Another server named Andrew recognized us as locals and went out of his way to help check on us even though we weren’t his table. I had the grouper and would go back just to have it again. Everything that hit our table was delicious including the cocktails.
We had a great experience and would highly recommend checking this place out if you haven’t already.

I was visiting my family in Florida, and we were walking around in downtown St Pete's. We heard this restaurant had recently opened and wanted to check it out. We were late on the reservation and the place was packed, but we were fortunate enough to find a spot at the bar. Every part of the experience was awesome. The appetizers were the perfect size, and the whipped ricotta was a consensus favorite. We all thoroughly enjoyed our main courses, but the kabocha squash caramelle was my personal favorite (unfortunately, not pictured because it was eaten too quickly). The service was just as good, if not better. Brian was incredibly attentive, and he made the meal more enjoyable. One of the managers, Alessia, went through the menu, explaining in detail how some of the dishes are prepared. It was a fantastic experience all around. We will be visiting again because of the delicious food we ate and the excellent service we received.

BLOWN AWAY! I am officially a RAVING FAN of Elliott Aster and their incredible team. I booked a celebratory dinner with a colleague of mine and my Fiance to celebrate the hardest deal of my career finally closing. From the minute we arrived on site at the Vinoy Hotel I knew we were in for a treat. The hotel is gorgeous, and the entrance to the restaurant feels special. The girls working the hostess stand were so welcoming and kind. They complimented my shoes and we immediately started talking about our favorite styles of loafers and designers. So many times the hostess acts annoyed when you arrive or flat out rude. It’s one of my biggest pet peeves about dining out. NOT HERE! The girls immediately made us feel welcomed and at home. Thank you! We were then taken to our table which was in the 2nd half of the restaurant, the best half in my opinion because you get the view of the most stunning indoor olive trees! They stole the show which is a pretty big feat as the bars and chandeliers are to die for gorgeous! The entire design of the restaurant blew us away. We are big design lovers too and we were paying attention to every small detail. Our head server Dara was such a delight! Knowledgeable, kind, conversational, and so professional. She gave us such a wonderful run down of the menus, restaurant, and drinks. She also introduced the Assistant Server Bri who was equally amazing and such a doll! We started off with a Dirty Martini and Espresso Martini. It was the first time I’ve had an espresso martini with orange twist, and I was THRILLED! First of all, i LOVE orange, and it added the most amazing aroma to each sip. The dirty martini came with a small caraffe of MORE DRINK! Dara explained that when the bartender makes the martini, they want to ensure the guest gets ALL of it, so they pour what doesn’t fit in the glass into the mini carafe and bring it to the table on ice. I mean WOW! We then ordered the crudo, buratta and steak tartare. All of which were divine! The steak tartare was especially delicious! For entrees we shared a large ribeye steak which they sliced for us, Parmesan fries, the squid ink pasta and wood fired mushrooms. The steak was one of the juiciest I’ve ever had! And the Smokey flavor of the mushrooms blew me away! The fries were the perfect level of crispy, and the squid ink pasta was delicious. A little too spicy for me, but both my Fiance and colleague loved it! Next is what impressed me the most. Krista the manager came by the table and dropped off a card. It was a handwritten card congratulating us on closing the deal and celebrating with drinks! It literally made me cry! It was so touching, so meaningful, and it was the icing on the cake for what was to become the best dining experience we have had in St. Pete. I cannot thank the team enough for making our night out so special. To Dara, Bri and Krista, THANK YOU! We cannot wait to come back!

Hello, my boyfriend and i came here at 8:30 one day the front ladies told us there was a wait which we were fine with. We ended up waited around the hotel for almost 2 hours went to the front again for them just to tell us that they couldn't seat us and that the kitchen was closed and just looked at us very stupidly we said okay and left. I found it very unprofessional the least they could've done is told us from the beginning that they didn't have a table or that the kitchen was closing so we could've found somewhere else instead of waiting for almost 2 hours hungry.

We had a lovely experience at Elliott Aster! All of the food was absolutely delicious — I wish I was able to capture a picture of everything ordered. You’ll see our focaccia bread and the filet mignon, I also ordered the roasted rosemary potatoes which were incredible! The hotel hit all the marks for being wonderful and I had heard great things about the new restaurant. The main item on my mind was to have a great steak and enjoy some delicious appetizers. After ordering, a two-hour wait for food pushed patience to its limits. When the dishes finally arrived, the disappointment was palpable. The steak, a signature item that should have been the highlight of the meal, was served cold, with its accompanying sauce also chilled—an unintentional pairing that stripped the dish of its expected indulgence. The pasta, ordered by a companion, fared no better; lacking depth of flavor and texture, it felt uninspired and flat, particularly for a restaurant that commands premium prices. From a value-for-money standpoint, Elliot Aster struggles to justify its cost. The ingredients and preparation didn’t meet the expectations set by the restaurant’s aesthetic and pricing. The ambiance, however, remains a redeeming factor—it’s evident that careful thought went into the décor and mood. It’s a wonderful space to relax, chat, and soak in the surroundings, but ultimately, diners come for the food, and that’s where the experience fell short. In summary, Elliot Aster shines in atmosphere but falters in execution. Hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The service is always on point and the food is unmatched. The esthetic feels true to old St.Pete, almost giving a Gatsby era vibe. The mocktails and cocktails are equally delicious. The vodka sauce might quite possibly be the best vodka sauce I’ve ever had (I’m Italian and picky). Hands down 10/10!
