We came here for one of our friend's birthday dinner and made the reservation almost 2 weeks in advance. Only time we could get was a reservation at 10pm at night for a party of 8. We arrived for them to tell us "we don't have a table ready for you, the party that has your table stayed longer than we expected". So they sat us outside which we didn't mind. Server greeted us right away and told us they ran out of 5 items. We ordered and waited a long time for our food. How our food was brought out was very weird. A lot of us ordered the taco apps but only two out of 5 got it. Then one of my friend got her filet and side but my other friend didn't get his filet. Towards the end of the night the three others finally got their tacos and I finished my meal already. The filet came out before the tacos. . . The birthday girl got her sweet potato side first and 45 mins later she got her scallops (after closing). We waited a long time for our food and then were told they ran out of some of the stuff we ordered (filet & spicy wontons). So my friend ordered a different steak. They brought out two steaks medium rare. We only needed one steak only and we needed one medium well. We returned it and it was still medium rare. Scallops came last minute and they were really salty. The birthday girl had her night ruined and we didn't get to cheer her up because we all just had a bad experience. The server had to apologize and say this never happens before. We all work in the service industry so we are usually very understanding because we totally get it but we just didn't have a great time there overall. Everything just went wrong the whole night for it being a high end restaurant.

I wanted to love this place so badly... Asian food is my favorite cuisine, and I've been pretty spoiled to have some amazing food (outside of the tampa area), and I have been desperately looking for an amazing Asian restaurant with a good vibe since I moved here... this place is beautiful inside, love the decor. So that checks out, but sadly, the food fell incredibly short. We had the wonton tacos and the salmon was incredibly fishy. Not good at all. The wagyu taco was average also. The hamachi crudo was also very fishy! This turned us off so badly! A high end place with this kind of ambiance and prices should NOT have this poor of quality of food! We then moved onto the miso cod and miso corn. The cod was decent, pretty good flavor, but the corn was so salty and rich. Not something you'd expect at a high end fine dining restaurant. I just don't understand why the Tampa Bay Area cannot get Asian food down! So disappointed! I would go back for cocktails because it is cute, but would probably skip out on the average food.

Everything was amazing here! Definitely more on the pricy side so plan to spend your money here on elevated pan Asian dishes! The salmon was probably my favorite as well as the rock shrimp!! The pink cloud is a dope dessert because it has dry ice on the bottom, can't wait to go back! Our server was awesome and so accommodating. The lighting was super low which really made the ambiance and experience. I definitely felt a lil squished at times as we were sat at a table near the bar, but overall had a great experience!

The restaurant was nice. Our party of 6 sat outside and the weather was perfect. We had the steak tacos for an appetizer and they were great. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. The main entrée portions were small and overpriced. I did not believe that the food was outstanding. Unfortunately, the price that we paid for the food we could've and should've gone to Ruth's Chris and had a much better time. We will not be going back.

From the warm welcome by the staff (two friendly faces greeted us right at the entrance) to the lingering farewell hours later, Fortu catered to our every whim. Their handcrafted cocktail menu was a revelation – imaginative and perfectly paired with the phenomenal food.But Fortu goes beyond the menu. The atmosphere crackled with positive energy, and the staff radiated such genuine enthusiasm that it elevated the entire dining experience to first-class. Why only 3-Stars….Mainly…It’s a good place for drinks and an app, but be ready to leave hungry.Not to mention…All night long I had the waiter using me as a leaning post to service a larger table beside us. Having some dudes a$$ in my face and sitting on my shoulder all night sucked.Food…We had:Wagyu tacos (rip off. They are barely a bite), lamb (it was good), cabbage, sweet potato, fish, scallops, shishito peppers, oxtail dumplings, strip loin, and the chilled platter….…….Sadly, this was $440+++ and we were still starving.All and all its cute, drinks are great, food is flavorful, but nothing that special compared to other locations around town.

I was excited to try Fortu and ended up deciding to dine there for my birthday dinner. Unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. The best part of the evening was the drinks that we got. Both cocktails were very unique and delicious! The decor was also very pretty, yet the seating felt pretty cramped. The food was just okay which was disappointing based on the price. The steak we got was over cooked and was nothing special. Out of the apps that we tried, I would recommend the tuna tartare and the wonton tacos. It also seemed that the overall service was good, yet our server was not.
