I’m from the Twin Cities, where there’s lots of good coffee shops and local places, this place is pretty dope, decor is awesome, and same goes for the coffee, I got a vanilla latte, it was pretty damn good. I’d seriously come back here again next time I’m in St. Petersburg. ?

Very cool coffee hang out, even during late nights. If you dont like bars or drinking, it's a great spot to chill.

Absolutely in love with Grassroots, they offer such a great atmosphere, and have the best kava you can get. The staff is always friendly and very professional, and everyone is always really nice. ???

The vibe in there is amazing. The decorations are nice and the cold brew is seriously delicious. The pricing is reasonable and the food is yummy as well. Everybody was super friendly and I got great service. I love it!

I’ve been coming to Grassroots kava house in downtown St. Pete for over a year and a half now. It was my first kava bar experience and James immediately made me feel right at home. Fast forward to now I’ve had the opportunity to get to know James and the rest of the staff on a more personal level and love the genuine community they’ve built here. 10/10 would recommend checking this place out if you’re looking for great coffee, kava, & Kratom in downtown St. Pete!

Nice space but ordering simple tea was quite difficult.

Good hang out spot, although not a safe space for queer people. But most importantly, they sell Kratom and advertise it as a nice uplifting drink when in reality it's an addictive drug with opioid-like effects. I have been on a 2-year long struggle with quitting kratom and it's all because places like these have NO WARNINGS about how addictive the substance is. They tell the bartenders to say nothing about the reality of this substance because it would drive away sales. They make lots of money from getting people hooked on this stuff.

Great atmosphere, decor makes the place stand out and welcoming, and drinks are delicious. Downstairs is a place to interact with friends while upstairs is a great quiet area to study or work. As for the one "Reviewer" that gave 1 Star and mentioned race being a factor of their experience, couldn't be further than the truth. Place is welcoming of every race, gender, sexual orientation, so on! Shame that some people resort straight to race when it could other factors. As a regular here, I can greatly say that no one gets horrible service due to their skin color or what they look like.

Cadillac of Kavahouses!! Excellent kava and kratom. Wonderful low key atmosphere which is a wonderful place to meet friends or get in some time on your laptop. If you're looking for people who care about the purity of the product as well as providing an inclusive atmosphere, Grassroots in St Pete, Seminole Heights or Ybor City is the place for you!

boring millennial Minimalism. The Kava was mid, but no where near as bad as the Decor.
