Looks from the outside: sketch. Very lovely on the inside though. Comfortable chairs. The wait staff were AMAZING. I got the Spaghettle al Nero (squid ink black spaghetti) with mussels and shrimp in a garlic lemon sauce. Delicious! Portions were exceptional and they gave you a ton of mussels. My guest got their butternut squash ravioli and she loved it! Wish they gave some bread to dip in oil or at least a garlic knot or something with the entrées. But it was really tasty. The parking is horrible so be warned, but otherwise it was good food, good atmosphere, and great service. It was a bit warm in the restaurant, even on a not-so-hot day (it was about 70°F). We did make reservations and they had a reserved table just for us, which was fantastic.

If you want real homemade gravy made from scratch like grandma made when you were little then come here. We had chicken parm and rigatoni. Sauce was perfect, chicken was tender and cooked perfect. Salads were perfectly dressed and presented well on retro dishes. Waitoe went above and beyond to give us 5 star service. Will defintely be back.

St. Pete already has great Italian food, but this restaurant jumps to the top of the pack. Great service. Amazing menu. The specials are fantastic. We had a lobster ravioli, smoked salmon penne and the chicken Alfredo. Also the home made mozzarella wheel.Vegetarian options: They have a whole plant based menu.Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of room.

Gusto’s Italian: A Culinary Delight?????My recent dining experience at Gusto’s Italian left me utterly impressed. From start to finish, every aspect of the meal was exceptional.Service: The staff’s attention to detail and warm hospitality elevated the entire experience. Their professionalism and friendliness made us feel right at home.Wine Selection: The wine list at Gusto’s is nothing short of impressive. We enjoyed a glasses of their red, which perfectly complemented our meal.Caesar Salad: The housemade Caesar salad was a revelation. Crisp romaine lettuce, tangy dressing, and just the right amount of Parmesan—pure perfection.Entrées: The veal and chicken Alfredo dishes were outstanding. Tender veal marsala and creamy Alfredo sauce danced harmoniously on the taste buds. These were truly some of the best Italian entrées I’ve ever had.Dessert: And oh, the dessert! The grilled pineapple with cream was a delightful surprise. The caramelized sweetness of the pineapple paired beautifully with the light cream. A memorable ending to an exquisite meal.In summary, Gusto’s Italian is a hidden gem in St. Petersburg. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply craving authentic Italian flavors, this restaurant delivers. Buon appetito! ???

The Truth

Fettuccine Alfredo was horrible no seasoning. The butternut ravioli was inedible and the fish dish they dumbed olive oil over the entire thing. This is not authentic Italian food even tho the atmosphere is nice. The waiter was visibly angry the whole meal because we didn’t want to order drinks. Like sorry some people don’t want to get hammered we still ordered and appetizer that needed bread and they don’t serve bread. Bruh your food is not upscale enough for you not to serve bread.

we were first timers last night. great food and service. Has a feel of Italy or at least northern NJ. I would adjust the music to fit the geographic decor. We will return.

I decided to take my girlfriend out to a Valentines dinner and chose this place. What a mistake. We got sat right next to the door and constantly surrounded by people talking coming in and out of the door. My girlfriend has a nut allergy and half of things on the menu have pistachios and are “made fresh daily” but when you ask them if they can do it with no nuts they “are already made”. As an Italian I knew the pasta was not going to be as good as Italy but I will say I think the sauce was just as good (maybe worse) than sauce that you can buy in the store. It was just sad how they crossed off half of the menu and then they tell you that you cannot really customize any options if you need to. Sad I went but at least I know not to go back. I recommend that you stay away
