Hawthorne Bottle Shoppe

HBS is an awesome spot with a great selection of interesting beers and wines (including a few excellent N/A beers), cool people, chill vibes. Lots of space but still has a great locals bar kinda feel. The owners are awesome too. We were there for a baby shower first but stayed well after and a great time. Will definitely be back!

Lots of choices here and a great spot. I’ve had bookclub meetups here and it’s always the perfect place for it. Great places to sit for a group and everyone can order their own drink without having to split a tab.

Excellent draft beers. A very chill and welcoming atmosphere. Superlative service. We had their pretzel and cheese and meat board. Both were Excellent. Had a few hazy IPAs that were outstanding. They also have a large selection of beer and wine to buy and take home. Can't wait to return.

Who knew a bottle shop would have such amazing sandwiches.
We stopped in to check out their great selection of craft beers and decided to give the food a try.

I had the Wanee and it was as good as I had hoped. The pimento cheese is made on-site so it was very flavorful and the jalapeños added a nice kick and all the other ingredients were super fresh.

My wife had the Tomorrow Land and it was awesome. I'm not a big tuna fish guy buy I tried a bit and was a refeshing change sine it was made without mayo.

The beer selection was also great with a few hazy ipa's that were killer.

Super friendly crew working the bar. We'll definitely be back.

Just got a glass of wine 🍷 on Sunday evening and it was delicious! Very impressed by the wine selection, you can buy your own bottle and enjoy the cozy ecclectic atmosphere ! Will come back for sure.

Great time at Hawthorns yesterday! The food was absolutely delicious and fresh, the atmosphere was delightful out on the patio with a nice afternoon breeze, and the service was perfect. I was with a big group and they nailed it! I will definitely be back

It’s always a fantastic time at Hawthorne! The staff is like family and they treat you like royalty. It’s a cool vibe with a great atmosphere. The wine and beer selection is very well crafted and the pub food menu is perfect. Prices are very reasonable too. There isn’t another wine bar in St Petersburg that can hold a candle to this place. Do yourself a favor and go have a snack and beverage at Hawthorne. You will not be disappointed!

Food: The burgers are succulent, and can be ordered custom. I got a bubch of fried onions on mine and it was insanely good. The Tomorrowland open face sandwich has quality tuna, balsamic, microgreens, and brie. I get it on whole grain without the brie, and it is fantastic and healthy.

Service: Fantastic. Incredibly friendly and knowledgable staff. Jessa is a great bartender and is incredibly easy to talk to, as is everyone who works here.

Armosphere: They have bottle sharing days where you can try rare and crazy sours/stouts/saisons/etc. from the beer share cooler, and they have recently started Pitch-a-Friend, and also have Keith who plays music here and he sounds very very good.

Overall: I love this place, and they have an immense selection of rare and interesting beers, great food, events, music, staff, and clientele.

If you haven’t been to Hawthorne Bottle Shoppe on Central yet, you’re seriously missing out! It’s the ultimate spot for amazing food, drinks, and a chill vibe—perfect for catching up with friends or coworkers.

I tried their cheeseboard, which was loaded with creamy goat cheese, savory prosciutto, apricot preserves, honey, and more—each bite was a little piece of heaven.

And let me tell you about the Burning Man sandwich! It’s packed with layers of tender roast beef, crisp romaine, tangy pickled red onions, bold blue cheese crumbles, creamy horseradish, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze, all hugged by perfectly hearty whole-grain bread. Absolute flavor explosion! 🔥

Highly recommend for anyone who loves great food and a relaxed atmosphere.
