I absolutely love them,good southern food. I Would recommend them to anyone who loves good food as well as good customer service A+, I drive from Tampa to St.Pete every weekend for there specials only $10!!! Always grab 3 or more meals with a cool refreshing Michell Obama preferably large😂😂😁😁,all around great place to eat and well worth the money

Heavy’s is hands down the best soul food spot in the St. Petersburg area! I knew the food was going to be amazing the moment I saw the whole okra on top of the peas — just like my grandmother used to do. The smothered turkey wings were tender and full of flavor, and the collard greens and mac & cheese were both spot-on. I even grabbed a chitlin plate to go!

Everything tasted homemade and seasoned with love. Definitely coming back again — this place feels like Sunday dinner at Grandma’s house! 🍽️💛

First time ever eating here I want off the reviews saying it was so delicious and everything but am sorry I just didn't get anything out of it just blend.and the fried chicken was burned and white and hard not crunchy.but hard and the rice I never know someone could mess up cooking per boiled rice.Im sorry just my opinion on what I had from here 10/05/2025

My first time here, the food was absolutely delicious, the staff were very courteous and made me feel like I was apart of their family. I’m from Saint Pete, but having been living in Orlando for many years, but felt right at home when I entered. initially I was looking for Atwater’s, but Heavy’s popped up and I am glad I made the choice to visit. The serving size was enough for 3 people.

Stopped here after attending church in St. Pete last Sunday.. so around lunchtime on a Sunday.
The line was fairly long (always a good sign) but moved quickly. Was also friendly conversations with folks, several also fresh out of church, from the South St Pete area. I felt welcomed and at home.

Now to the food.. it’s just amazing. Flavor packed and huge portions. Down home, southern black soul food. The best in the Bay Area. Turkey wings, Oxtails, Smothered pork chops, black eye peas, collard greens, bread pudding, sweet potato bread .. you name it they got it. You won’t be disappointed.

Great place to eat and can’t wait til I get to treat myself here again.

This was my first time trying Heavys. The food is amazing 😋 I got the soul food sampler. Turkey wings, meatloaf and oxtails, rice, greens and Mac and cheese. I also added field peas. It was a good portion of food. Everything was sooooo good! Tastes like my Granny's cooking. Will definitely be back!
