great food however this one girl got mad at my entire family for using a chair while waiting for our food right before they close the lobby at 9, and was completely rude about it and stayed on her phone the entire time. completely unnecessary and the point could have been made in a lot nicer way. not the best service from her but the other girl who took our orders was great and the cook was super friendly too.
Stopped by last night while downtown. I can’t believe this was $8! I got 5 small boneless wings. It equaled approximately 1 chicken tender. I gave 2 stars because it was tasty. I proceeded to go to 5 Buck Drinkery and had 5 large chicken tenders and fries for $10.99.
I am in St. Pete for the week, staying at a hotel near this place. Was tired when I got off work so I figured I would get some take-out and bring it to my room. Met "Janelle" (So sorry if I misspelled her name!) who was working the counter. She super friendly and very nice - The food was amazing! Totally would recommend this place - and I will be back again!
New in town wanted to get some wings after a long night out. Customer service was phenomenal. Olivia and jaynelle were the sweetest people and helped me navigate the menu. 10/10 best food in downtown!
6 wings, fries and a drink for $10 isn’t bad but the wings are tiny and fries lack flavor.
We had a terrible experience from the moment we walked in to Hoots. First, several employees looked at us or walked by while we waited 4 minutes to have someone helped us. The employee went between ringing people up and handling food without changing their gloves, which likely lead to our main issue….my 2 year old daughters fries were mostly fine, but some were so hot that she was screaming and crying the whole ride home. There was no visible sauce on them but the employee must have touched a very hot sauce then handled our food. We only ordered fries so there was no way the contamination came from us. I will absolutely never eat here again and caution others to think twice before doing so.
Wings seem smaller than the full service Hooters restaurant with no curly fries but overall food pretty good. The staff though...ate in and listening to the kitchen crew mouth. Every other word out her mouth was eff this eff that the whole time we were eating. Apparently employee is broke, has no collateral, and cannot find a place to live because of it with anger management issues. Understand you are set up for fast food but have never eaten somewhere with such unprofessional staff.
25 minute wait for tenders. I had to finally ask for money back. Horrible cashier and incompetent cook. Shame on Hooters for tolerating deplorable staff
Non breaded wings where half breaded, not crispy, the hot sauce was 90% butter with 10% seasoned added. Overall the food was very disgusting and not recognizable from a regular holsters restaurant
Long wait before the downtown area got crowded, didn’t provide the drinks as a part of the combo, no sauce on 2/3 orders.Getting one star because it appears they don’t use previously cooked and frozen chicken. Only know this due to the completely raw and unbreaded chicken amid my overly cooked and under sauced wings.Wish I could get my money for the order and the tip back.
Restaurantji Recommends
Staff is very nice, food is good. But it's in a very busy area so expect a wait between 20-30 minutes at least for take out unless you're going at a low volume time for restaurants. Highly don't recommend door dashing them, though. The drivers won't want to wait there.
Hoots, please, promise me you're better when the sun is up.Your wings are cooked until the bone is literally mushing into every bite. The bone. Mushing.Your blue cheese dressing is just watery ranch with "cheese product nuggets" in it. If you're even that honest.Your "chicken nuggets" have the texture of pureed meat product. Very, very far from actual meat.Your hot sauces aren't sauces, there's no flavor. If I just wanted chemical hot without flavor, I could do that at home; just send me your meat product analogues and I'll add gasoline and disappointment and still make a better sauce than you.I want to give you two stars because maybe the fries could possibly have fresh when they were ready, but they were cold mush by the time they were served to me.
This was our choice for our quick dinner. The overall condition of the interior was average- not quite too dirty to eat there but also not clean enough to call it good. The food was very fresh and good. They have a great selection of sauces. I loved that they have carrots as an option but the ones we got were mostly beyond edible. Service was satisfactory but nothing special.
Popped over from across the street, staying at Hyatt Place. Had tasty mozzarella sticks & lemon pepper wings, loved both. Michael was there alone, did everything like Speedy Gonzales. Can sit inside or out, small & casual place, try them!
I Was downtown and I was craving wings... we all been there. I stopped at this place called Hoots. They are connected to hooters so I didn't really have to big of hopes, but love the flavors.I am so torn here cause the flavors are amazing, portions filling, but for wings they were small and dry. The Crew was good. Micheal, Tesia were friendly and greeted me.P.S. want 5 stars... next time give larger boneless wings that aren't like chicken jerky and make the whole order hotter... if its ready made it would always be popping hot. Oh and 2.49 for loaded fries should at least look loaded.
