Because it's a walk-up counter to order and pay, we were prompted to tip our server before receiving any service. However, after we paid and returned to our table, the waitress barely checked on us after bringing us our food. Our party was left with empty water glasses for over an hour. Since no one came to check on us, we sat at a table full of used plates after we had finished our meals and lingered to converse. Finally another server came by and removed the used plates, with a blank expression, saying nothing to us. We felt like we were an imposition on them.Adding to the disappointment, my $20 salad was limp and flavorless. It tasted like a bagged salad from Publix a couple of days past the expiration date.As an alternative, I would recommend choosing a place like Chipotle or Fresh Kitchen if you want or expect minimal to no service, or a place like Pia's in Gulfport if you want fresh and delicious Italian food with friendly and attentive service.

We ordered from here last night for the first time and it will be the last. We ordered spaghetti pomodora and another type of pasta with chicken and asparagus-they were both tasteless and dry. We expected it to be somewhat decent based upon ratings and the cost. Disappointed is an understatement. I’m not sure what you all are thinking charging such high prices for something that tastes so bad. Both meals were not good. We will not be recommending Jay Luigi to our friends and family.

You really can't go wrong with Jay Luigi, delicious food and great, friendly service! Everything on the menu is so good and the Creamy Tomato Vodka pasta is a favorite. We have also used Jay Luigi catering for a large wedding welcome event (100+ ppl) and all of the guests raved about the food. For the catering, working with Isabella was a dream; not only is she the sweetest person, but she was extremely helpful and professional, and made the whole thing seamless. Would highly recommend dining at Jay Luigi and using them to cater your next event!

Luigi’s demonstrates several small things that raises the bar toward healthy, simple yet elegant dining. Excellent service. Very clean. I’d forgotten about this gem and after my second visit it’s now my favorite along 4th St and even tops all on Central.

Received a gift card for Jay Luigi's so it made sense to give it a try. Went on a Saturday around 2:30pm so the place was not very busy. We ordered to go and they were quick to take the order and the food was received within 10 minutes. We tried the three vegan pasta dishes and they were just ok. Not very flavorful but filling and the best part of the meal was actually the pesto oil that can with the sourdough bread. Probably not a place I would try again although it may be better to dine in and eat the food when it's fresh from the kitchen.

Best pizza in St Pete!!! Amazing sourdough and fresh ingredients, always.
The food and lunch specials are fabulous. The only reason I did not give a 5 star is bc I don't like to have to tip my server in advance. Tip should be based on how good the service was, so how do we know until the meal is over. Yes you could tip in cash, but not if you didn't bring any cash w you. You have to pay for your meal and tip in advance before sitting down.

I also wanted to like this restaurant and like the food now I’ve only tried the pizza and while it was tasty, the crust wasn’t thin like I ordered and it wasn’t crispy like it said also, there wasn’t enough mozzarella cheese on it. My biggest problem, however is that they don’t take cash they only take credit cards so I must say I won’t be coming back
